Personality: Luke's a dork. He tends to seem a little aloof and grumpy from his appearance, but he's really just an awkward guy with a penchant for cynicism and sarcastic remarks. Cowardly and blunt, Luke's first instinct in a time of crisis is to run the hell away. He is generally a nice and slightly chivalrous guy, though, so if he sees someone in trouble, he'll stick around to help out if he can. More often than not, he'll help people escape from a bad situation, but not at the cost of his own well-being if he can help it. He is especially awkward around girls, as he had a lackluster life when it came to romance, having spent most of his life playing video games and tinkering with his PC when not at school or working at his crummy tech support job.
Biography: Luke had an incredibly normal, boring childhood. As an only child, he was doted on by his family, but for the most part he kept to himself, preferring parties of the LAN sort. He was decent in school, never getting below a C in any classes(except for maybe physics that one year when he got that Polish teacher), but only occasionally getting top marks. He was a relatively relaxed as a kid, but one thing always teased at him from the back of his mind. There was a monster under his bed; he was certain of this. It would whisper his name as he tried to go to sleep. He learned to ignore it as time went on, assuming it was just his imagination.
Throughout his life, however, he felt there was some huge presence that was missing from his life; it was a feeling that he could not easily explain. The feeling was akin to living in a modern era without a computer when all of your friends had one. Pursuing that feeling was too much trouble. Why bother? His life was fine, after all. He had his video games, he had some friends to play video games with. He had a tech support job, however crummy it was. Sure, he was living in his mom's basement, but it wasn't all bad.
As a note, Luke was very good friends with Crow, who had passed away soon before his own death. He would've gone to the funeral, but...well, you know, appendicitis. He also was acquainted to Remi.
Weapons: Luke's default arsenal consists of a simple automatic pistol, a good old fashioned metal bat, a black carbon nanotube and aerogel lined coat, a pocket shield that activates at the press of a button(though it has a low battery life and can only be used in short bursts), and a compression device disguised as a tie clip to store it all in. This lineup changes every once in a while.
Abilities/Powers: As someone who didn't sin much besides pirating the occasional PC game and MP3s, Luke's only innate ability is incredible dexterity and agility brought on by years of experience with FPSes and DDR, as well as the occasional round of paintball. He can't dodge bullets, but you can be certain that he'll be the first to disappear when shit goes down unless there happens to be a guy who can, say, stop time or run at super-human speeds.
Due to his average traits and abilities and mostly squishy easy-to-kill body, Luke's main arsenel is his alliance with a certain otherworldly creature. Occasionally, a black shadow of a girl will appear to chastize him. This "ghost" doesn't just appear to chit-chat; after she appears, Luke will find that he has new gadgets in his arsenal, or more ammunition and supplies to defend himself with, or replacements for any broken equipment. These items are typically portable and easy to figure out, but the black shadow has a rather inappropriate sense of humor and once in a while gives Luke something that is completely useless to him, or something much too complicated to figure out in a tense situation.
