Im planning on redoing my old SCiFi about North Korea and the U.S. involvment from a while ago, so i will have that up eventually (my political factions and tech ideas were a bit off in the first two chapters, need to redo)

Okay, this is a really really long short story that I wrote for an English paper. It's in a Chobits-like universe, but it's a completely different type of story.

Prologue: The Advancement of Technology and the Creation of Persocoms

By the year 2100, technology will have become more advanced than anyone from our own time could have imagined. From the 21st century on, technology has flourished, bringing forth new inventions that allow for easier living on the behalf of human beings. Some of these new products are solely for entertainment, like the pocket-sized game station, while some are for more practical uses, such as the portable telephone that allows one to talk to anyone from anywhere. But all these new technologies pale in comparison to the newest generation of personal computers.
These computers, otherwise known as persocoms, can do virtually anything its owner wants. Cooking, cleaning, paying bills, you name it, the persocom can do it all. But what makes them so different from other computers is their shape. Persocoms are built to look like human beings. Their outward appearance resembles real people so strongly that someone who has never seen one before could swear that it was just another human.
The world’s first persocom was created in Tokyo, Japan by Dr. Yuki Murakami in the year 2013. It took 10 long years of nonstop work and research on Dr. Murakami’s part, and resulted in one of the most advanced AI units of the time. Murakami’s persocom was built in the shape of a young girl and went by the name of Amaterasu, after the Japanese god of the sun who was created by the King of the Gods. When asked why he built Amaterasu in the shape of a woman, Murakami answered simply, “Staring at a bright screen all day can damage the eyes and give a major headache,â€

Thank you! I worked on that thing for weeks! The assignment was to choose one of the themes from The Scarlet Letter, and write our own story. It was supposed to be 3-5 pages but....I wrote 11...

This should be sticked, and all fanfics, poems, and the like be put in it. What with all the fanfics and such, it may be useful to complie all the writing in one thread, as is done with art on the snafu forum.

No, i don`t think it`s good idea. It would probably end in a complete Spam thread, like "the Hi I`m New Thread" did, to much stickies only complicate the situation in the forums and we don`t have THAT much fanfics to make this topic an official sticky thread. Sure, the "Post Your Art Thread" on Snafu works pretty fine, but as we all know, there are some big differences between Bleedman and Snafu. So no offense, but i go "liberum veto" on that one. Of course everything is fine with this thread and if somebody wants to post his fics here, there`s no problem with that, but making it a sticky would most probably ruin it, i find it much more appealing, if every fanfic has a seperate thread.
