Okay I was watching this with my sister.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y1qgmdVgN70
And she made me giggle by asking these questions.

The Corpse Bride is a pretty good movie.
Reminds me of The Nightmare Before Christmas
only this one's much more refined aesthetically speaking.
In fact the person involved is the one and the same.
Keiran wrote:why does his eye switch socket? and How and a skeleton use a wind instrument?
Simple: Cartoon Physics.
Specifically for skeletal folks.

Have you ever heard of the skeleton dance?
That I think was this scene's inspiration.

I want to see Nightmare before Christmas.
But I love when Emily disappears into butterflies.
And the skeleton dance is so cool.

You may attempt to search this film in video stores and if you have enough money, buy/rent one.
If one of your friends owns one, you may ask them to lend them to you.
Also there is always the illegal option...
Tragedy_and_Comedy wrote:But I love when Emily disappears into butterflies.
I'm pretty sure that's what the producers aimed for.
For sympathy, an emotional response, and to show that she's finally at peace.
She was the focus of the story after all aside from the protagonist.
Tragedy_and_Comedy wrote:And the skeleton dance is so cool.
Their bones sometimes take the property of rubber.
That was wacky.

Other shows/films have also referenced the Skeleton dance.
The episode "Hill Billy" from "The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy" is one example.
Tragedy_and_Comedy wrote:Is this what you meant by different threads on broad subjects?
This is more of a "Q&A" and a "show and tell" thread.
Its main purpose is to answer a question and show something to everyone.
After the specified question/s is answered, comments left, and related topics discussed,
its purpose ends and if left unattended will eventually go off-topic.
Nothing bad about this type of thread except that its life expectancy is quite short.

A "Broad thread" for example is the Food thread and that No Naku Koro Ni Series thread.
Basically any topic that could be discussed with complexity, over and over again, and for a long time.
It has so many sub-topics that it's practically endless as long as the users are still interested on talking about it.

Wow you haven't see The Nightmare Before Christmas? I have that shit on VHS, and I used to watch it every Halloween and Christmas for as long as I can remember... well, until it was all I heard about from the scene/emo kids. So then I decided I'll watch it when I'm in the mood.

I didn't like Corpse Bride. And I didn't like Nightmare before Chirstmas.

Ok I hate any thing by Tim Burton.

How can you not like Sweeny Todd. That was a fun movie; great characters, fun music, pretty costumes, blood guts and gore, unintentional cannibalism...

Best musical I have ever seen.

Well, Phantom of the Opera could give it a run for its money.

Wow you haven't see The Nightmare Before Christmas?

I agree with this statement.

Is this what you meant by different threads on broad subjects?

Well. That is debatable. If it stays the way JinJoe says, then yes.

But if its focus is on Movies and Music, then it has a much greater potential for life.

I think Rocky Horror's up there too.

I've always wanted to see NBC; never had a chance.

Yeah we tend to run away with things don't we?

I think she means what happened with the welcome thread.

I like the Tim burton movies mainly because they're mostly great musicals, funny and just relatively great.

That's exactly what I meant, we'll probably pull away from the intial question and into other movies,

That and the horror

I had a chance to see it live, down in Vegas.

Then the school district was out of money a trimester before hand in the Music Department...

The administration said that the students could pay for themselves or do a fund raiser.

What a joke.

I know it's good, but I would kill myself over that. Its the fundraiser part. I would just kill myself over the fundraiser deal, it just seems like a pathetic excuse to me.

It was. The administration suggest that since they wasted the Music Departments funds else where, we try and do a fundraiser to get some money to go.

We went going down just for that, there was some marching band thing that we were going to, and Phantom was just there as well. So we decided if we got the chance to go and see it.

Because helping out poor people, or people with cancer, and etc isn't a good idea...

Of coarse not. There are better things to do in life.
I'm kidding.

On the Phantom note, did you know that the guy who played the phantom is the same guy who plays Leonidas in 300?
