Alice laughed: "There's no use trying," she said; "one can't believe impossible things." "I daresay you haven't had much practice," said the Queen.

Big difference from past works to now. I like that one.

The grass (?) in the background looks great and your shading is awesome. Sure looks sweet.

Sweet stuff, but I think you could use a bit more contrast in your shading. It might be the scan doing it, but the lights should probably be lighter. A little fidgeting with the levels should do the trick.:)

@ Black: Yea, it's grass : ) Thanks for the compliments!
@ Deena: It's probably me, not the scanner, but I'll blame it anyway ;) I tend to go overboard with shading, I guess, I'll pay it some more attention, thank you, my friend!

Here's another big cat.

I'm working on more, but it may be a while, as I'm a little out of practice.

Once again, I let my thread die for a number of years; and once again I apologize if the sudden resurrection irks anyone. I'm officially in art school, and thought I'd share some stuff here since not too many people irl (save for my wife) are all that interested. Simple stuff mostly, but with any luck it'll improve as time progresses.

First some gestural works from my first class:

These are some good gestures.
I hope to see more from you.

@Morpheus - Thank you; I'm hoping that the regularity of making pieces for school will help encourage me to keep a better eye on this thread.

@sexandgummies - Your name is fantastic lol Thank you!

I know the gestures aren't much fun to look at, so I'll intersperse some other projects in with them. Also using thumbnails now so they don't take up a ton of space.

@DarkZero Thanks much; I haven't done much fuzzy work since starting school, but I have some half-done stuff that I need to revisit. :?

Some more shading practice
