I've played it on a friend's 360. I want it for my own.

Been playing it for a while, it's a really awesome fighter from arc system, though I hope GG gets back to doing what it does best.

There's a rights dispute between Aksys and Sammy, so more GG's won't be produced anymore, at least by Aksys.

After losing 3 times in a row though, I finally got used to the normal controls and managed to win a few matches.

I've never heard of a shortcut. How does that work?

It's a system in Blazblue for newbs.
Each character has three of their special attacks preassigned to a direction the the right analog stick. You can't change which attacks each shortcut uses (But you can change which buttons use the shortcuts, directions on the right stick are just the default).
Most characters though don't have a special assigned to shortcut 4, which is down on the right stick. shortcut 4 is only used once you've unlocked each character's ultimate attack...which serves as nothing more than a really cool finisher since you can only use it with 100% Heat (Blazblue's Special Gauge) when your opponent has 20% or lower health...
