PPGD is probably Bleedman's most famous comic.

Basically the story revolves around the Power Puff Girls and some other cartoons from different networks. It intertwines some story lines, but is mostly a original story that uses famous cartton characters.

The story is much darker than any of the old cartoon's storyline. Such as the death of DeeDee (Dexter's sister) and the death of Atomic Betty's comrades.

But what was the relevance of bringing Atomic Betty into the story?

If you are referring to the full name of PPGD, then it is PowerPuff Girls Doujinshi.

Atomic Betty was probably only brought into the story, specifically the arc between sagas one and two, as an introductory character at this point. She didn't really do much yet except sneak around Vexus' ship and watch her comrades get torn to pieces. It's possible that since she was brought back to Earth that she will meet up with the PPG and warn them of an impending invasion or that her appearance in the story arc was the only time that we'll see her. We'll just have to wait for the second saga to progress further for any revelation.

Bleedman was probably planning to include them in the comic but he didn't find a useful role for them in the story.

I guess he also didn't intend Nergal Jr. being Minnies father judging by his age.

Well, with Minnie being a Nergal Demon...There really wasn't a lot of options.
