You know, people praise the Playstation over and over, yet I remember playing my N64 SO much more. I had both at the same time, we rented games for both, yet I spent SO much more time on the N64. Explain that.

I blame Mario Party, but hey.

I only had a PC, and I still only have a PC... and my game as a child was Red Alert, I used to sit and watch my sister and brother play that game so after a while I started playing myself... there was only one problem, I didn't know how to read english, so I didn't know what I needed to do.

I remember playing those. Great games. I never could beat Sim Tower, but at one point I was so good at Sim Ant that I could evict the humans and topple the red ants in under 30 minutes.

'Nuff said people, and for those that like board strategy games, get Shining Force, even if you get the GBA remake of the first one. It's a game I seriously recomend

I feel I should mention Legend of Kage (NES) is the first game I ever played. Not a bad game for a first, but it definitely got better from there.

ok, How can you even consider the twin snakes as a childhood game? I mean, I know you're 15 but...god damn that doesn't seem right to me.

Well I didn't actually play it but I did consume a lot of time watching my sister play it so I consider it a childhood game. Mostly because all I did was watch my sis play and barely played any games myself till later on :p

Abe's Exodus and Abe's Odysee spring to mind at first... but I also have very fond memories of Metal Gear Solid
and I still remember the sleepless nights due to Resident Evil

good times... good times

Your GRANDMA was a GAMER?!?!

Back in the day I didn't have any console but an old computer(standard for it's time, 1990) and it had The Lion King, four Commander Keen games, Lemmings and a Jill of the Jungle game. I loved all of them so I guess those are my choices.

Listening to the field music for Rusty Bucket Bay from Banjo-Kazooie brings back memories of pure bliss. I love that game.
(One of the best soundtracks of all time to.)

These games were the best games in the world when I was younger.
Of course, this was also back when I had working Nintendo...
Perfect Dark
Mario Kart 64
Star Fox 64
Diddy Kong Racing
Super Smash Bros.
I'm about to seriously consider hunting down another Nintendo...

Command and Conquer (The original. I don't need noTiberian dawn)
Silent Hill 1
Spider-Man on PS1
Also, an obscure PS1 game called Croc: Legend of the Gobbos. Nobody knows anything about it, but it kicked ass.

Most of mine have been said already, In no particular order:
Mario 64, Mario Kart, Mario bros. Basically any Mario game on NES SNES or N64
Crash Bandicoot (can't spell)
Sonic the hedge hog, (back when it was just sonic and tails none of the spares)
Rayman for PS1
Starwars, Spider-Man, and WWF, games for playstation 1.
I'm sure one of the Spider man ones was, Spider-Man 2: Enter Electro
And for PC there was Backyard Soccer. Which was The awesomeness.
