Seriously, though, about the bee-chick. How about Yellowjacket for a name? Granted, it's somewhat superhero-y, but the best I've got at the moment, plus it seems to work.

Actually, add 'Lady' to it. Lady Yellowjacket. BAM.

This was done as part of an art trade with Spetz-kun from the VGCats forums.
In exchange for this awesome piece he did of Crystal, I tried my hand at his 'Art Chick' character. I took a couple of liberties with her wardrobe. I figure she'd be a bit of a trendy tomboy, so elements of that seeped its way into this drawing. Of course, can't be an 'art chick' without some hint of 'art', so that's where the sketch pad and the brushes in her hair came from.

...if you're wondering why this isn't in colour, I didn't want to ruin this picture by putting a colour scheme that might end up completely wrong (plus, I like the way this picture came out as is. To do anything more might ruin it.)

That's right, little Melody's going to appear in the comic as one of its many citizens. I added the pouch and her glasses to make her look more unique, as well as more of a bookworm (which her character is meant to be.) Sadly, one doesn't have time to get much reading done when running from horrible, horrible monsters!

Many of you probably already know what happened to Prowl in the last episode of Transformers Animated.
I'm a bit bummed also....alongside Swindle, Prowl was one of my favorite characters on the show. He had an awesome alternate mode, often saved the day through his ninja skills and determination....hell, he even exists on the team as the 'lone wolf' character, one of my favorite archtypes.

...and, because of him, Detroit and all of the people who live there weren't blow to Kingdom Come.

To be honest, the most noble death I have ever seen in Transformers will still be Dinobot in Code of Hero, because God damn. A Pred, out of all things, giving his life to save mankind and the future? (Yes, I know he's nominally Maximal, but he was still loyal to his Predacon heritage.)

However, this comes second to me.


Prowl, may you rest in peace. You lived a badass, and died a hero.

By the way, this is the first time in a good while I've ever attempted to draw a Transformer, much less one from the Animated universe.

About time I came up with a colour scheme for this character.

Out of all of the characters I've ever conceived, Blackhawk is the character that went through the most name changes.

He started out as 'Raven' (so called because of his black wings and ninja-like attributes.) Then, along came Tekken 5 with a character of the same name. As my character was still being developed, no way I can really continue referring to my character as Raven, so that name was scrapped.

'Nighthawk' was my second choice.
Sadly, I learned from my trips on Wikipedia that there are way too many Nighthawks in the comic book universe. As such, the name, sadly, was no more.

I decided on 'Blackhawk' (haven't decided if I should parse the name or not) primarily because of his black wings, and hawk-like precision, ready to swoop down on unsuspecting crooks and snatch them up in the blink of an eye.

A bio will be forthcoming, but later.
Enjoy the artwork in the meanwhile, however.

Yeah, it's a good thing you changed his name from Nighthawk. Blackhawk sounds better and is less common, after all.
