Hey guys, I'm just wondering if it's possible for a graphics card to degrade over time? Because I tried playing GW for the first time in over a year today and everything but the background and characters load, I have a similar problem with L4D but I know whats the cause of that at least.

It's possible for any part of your computer to degrade. Each part can degrade in performance, stop functioning correctly, or just stops all together. If you keep having issues and can't trace it back to a software related issue, you may need a new graphic card. How long have you had yours?

Been planning on getting a new card, but I had to buy a new mouse due to the left click being broken and then a new keyboard because my nephew somehow fried by dripping and entire plate of maple syrup onto it.

Anyway any recommendations for a new card?

I don't know a whole lot about the kinds of graphics cards being sold. I've heard ATI and NVidia are good. I personally have a 256MB ATI Radeon X1300PRO. It came with my computer. It's great for my gaming needs. I've been able to play Half-Life 2, Left 4 Dead, Crysis, Unreal Tournament 3, and a few other games using medium to low settings with my current card.

If you're looking for more informed advice, ask someone from the SNAFU section. Some of the guys there usually answer my technical questions.

No, but google is your friend. There's probably a crack site that has a key listed. The only problem is that searching for cracks and serials/keys is risky, you might get a virus if your anti virus is crap.

They haven't really implemented region lock yet. There are regions but they have decided against region locking because that was a cause of people modding systems.
