How many people are familiar with White Wolf, their World of Darkness setting, and their "game of beautiful madness?"

You play a Changeling, a normal person abducted from the human world by a Faerie, who played with you like a toy. By the time you manage to escape, you have been twisted into a half-faerie creature yourself, no longer entirely human.

The Fairest were made beautiful, but out of touch. The Wizened were made to serve, and learned their trades well. The Ogres were slaves to violence, and it made them strong. The Beasts were lowered into the animal kingdom, but have risen with the power to command it. The Elementals were made into landscapes and objects, but have awakened with the power to command them. The Darklings made themselves one with the night in order to hide, survive and escape.

Yeah, I know the game. I have the book at home myself! I don't know about the rest of the people on the forums, though...

What do you propose for the seemings and kiths of Everafter's protagonists?

Red Hood: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Changeling_The_Lost
http://www.white-wolf.com/

Hope that helps!

Well I'm familiar with White Wolf's RPG systems, yet I never Played WoD only "Vamire - The Masqurade" and "- Dark Ages" once
I'm mostly playin' "scion"
Never heard of "Changeling" It sounds interesting though
Now what's your idea about the Ever After universe?

I do not own the book, sadly.

But this link tells much: http://whitewolf.wikia.com/wiki/Changeling:_The_Lost

Red is an Ogre, since her thing is violence and superhuman strength. I don't know enough about the available Kiths, but she might be a Bloodbrute. Their power is called "Improvised Mayhem."

Hansel and Gretel are also probably Ogres, since the witch that kept them was brutal to Gretel and wanted to eat poor Hansel. Both are violent, and both wield very heavy weapons (flamethrower with huge tank-pack, giant fork-spear) so they're really strong. Gretel's probably a Gristlegrinder, for eating people with monstrous bites. Not sure with Hans.

Jack Sprat -- cannibal? Another Gristlegrinder.

Goldilocks is one of the Fairest, though I'm not so sure which Kith. Flowering? Brightone? Alternatively, she's something geared towards madness and lunacy (Moonmad, Nightsinger), depending on how this bears thing pans out.

Jack of the Stalks is also one of the Fairest. Possibly a Draconic, but the Dragon's Talon only enhances unarmed attacks. He might be a unprinted Kith with a specialty for swords.

His harp-sword is possibly another Fairest, of the Treasured Kith. Or just a living object.

Pinnocchio is an Elemental Manikin.

Iggy is a Wizened, despite being a pig. Alternatively, he's not a Changeling, but a hobgoblin.

One might think Muffet's closest match is the Beast Seeming, but we don't know enough about her. Likewise Tom Thumb, who's known quirks are about his equipment rather than himself, and so doesn't apparently map to any Seeming or Kith. Yet.

The Big Bad Wolf is either a Beast Changeling grown monstrously powerful and insane, or he's one of the True Faeries. Of course, he could have started as the former and become the later.

Crooked is either a True Faerie himself, or a scientist (possibly a Mage) who seeks to study the Faeries and Changelings.

Oops, forgot those two.

Blightbents -- Elementals of pollution and other unpleasantness.

Okay, I've now learned that the Bloodbrute's unique ability of Improvised Mayhem is geared for making improvised weapons more effective.

Using a stop sign that you ripped out of the sidewalk is just as good as using a battle-axe.

Hmm. Perhaps Red would instead require a custom Kith -- one that supplies an additional edge to the benefits of berserker rage.

Hmm. Skitterskulks triple rather than double their Defense rating when they choose to Dodge. Perhaps the Berserker Ogres get to add five (or six) dice to attack rolls instead of three when they make an All-Out Attack.

Huh. That might also work pretty well for thousand-yard-staring Hansel.

I'll be going with the optional "screw Seeming/Kith ties" rules presented in Winter Masques.

Red - hideously high-Wyrd Ogre Dancer...maybe. I could see an argument for a Fairest Dancer based on her traditional place in myth, just one who reacted badly to the Wolf and started grabbing up Stone, or even a Darkling of some kind - remember, one of the ways Darklings are Taken is by breaking secret taboos, exploring the cursed unknown, or witnessing forbidden knowledge. I figure the Asylum has a lot of Darklings on that account.

I don't know why her berserker nature is so hard to tie down for people - it's Red Rage of Terrible Revenge, Stone 5.

Tornado Wolf, your proposed kith is way too strong. Try +3 instead of +2, and the option to pay a Glamour to ignore environmental, fatigue, and wound penalties for a single round. Wyrd 7 upgrade raises the bonus to +5.

Actually, I was wrong about All-Out Attacks. They add two dice, not three, at the cost of your defense. So doubling it (as like the Skitterskulks and dodging) would instead result in four dice to attack, at the cost of defense.

Ignoring fatigue and wound penalties would be the result of her berserker state.

Red might be a Fairest Dancer, but certainly not a Darkling. She's just not shadowy. She's too physical and solid and bright, and not nocturnal in any way. The Contracts of Darkness also do not fit her.

Is it a bad thing I predicted that reaction?
Hate to break it to you but I really don't care about what some dude, somwhere on the internet, SNAFU of all places, that I don't really know, thinks about role playin'
Some of my best friends think Roleplayin's dumb, didn't stop me from doin' it.
So long story short: I acknowledge your opinion, don't try to make it mine or any other role player.
In this particular case I'm sure you'll fail.
