Naruto IC: The first mission

Postby BG07 » Sat Apr 11, 2009 3:20 pm

=Konoha Advanced Corps. Graduation=

A tall and skinny ANBU proctor stood at the end of the room, in his hands the manifesto of all the students who had survived through the training. This was no ordinary graduation, the people who had walked out of the normal academy would never understand the feelings of satisfaction that these students would feel upon their promotion to ninja status. Many of these individuals could have already been considered of chunin level skill, however they still lacked the appropriate combat experience necessary for the title. Though unlike all of the other Genin fresh out of the other academy, they wouldn’t have to worry about dealing with petty missions that had nothing to do with being a ninja.

“Hokiro, Kaguya, Ono Satoru, Team one. Leader, Mokoto Rin.”
“Ikazuchi, Yushka, Masaki Yamada, Team two. Leader, Bifuu Aori.”
“Mamoru, Sonda, Masaki Asuna, Team three. Leaders, Junsu Hakarui and Hara Takumi.”
“Kurosaki, Heion, Ono Satoshi, Team four. Leader, Shikieiki Kon.”
The man paused for a moment before looking up at the students once again.
“Team leaders will be awaiting you in the staging area within the next room, dismissed.” And with that they were now ready to meet their team leaders, and perhaps get to know the people on their team a bit better than they did before.

=Konoha Gates=

Rai Hyuuga sat beneath a tree just outside of the entrance to Konoha, and although it looked as if he were lazing about, the young man was actually on a mission. The Sand village had decided to try and form a peaceful agreement with the Leaf, and part of that agreement involved sending a small team over to assist on missions. It was a similar thing to what the Hokage did with Rai only a year prior, however they were sending over more than just a few genin. The thought made Rai smirk slightly, he knew that the Kazekage only sent over higher ranking ninja in an attempt to ‘one up’ what the Hokage did a year ago. His arms were folded across his chest as his pale eyes watched the road before him, any minute now the team from the Sand village would show up and he would become their guide.

Hokiro stood, his eyes closed; it was far too bright inside. This is how it always was. His black clothes, now stained brown with dirt, faded in areas that were scuffed, torn here and there from the numerous close calls... and this was his best set. His fingerless gloves were torn to shreds, and he didn't have another pair to replace them.

But though he kept his eyes closed, he never fell asleep, no matter how boring, no matter how insignificant, no matter how trivial the events unfolding around him became to him; he was always alert...

The next step... He hissed the words through his mind and set off, his eyes still closed, but he bumped into no one. The way of their shadows told him everything, their movements told him everything else. He navigated flawlessly, and stood with everyone else in the other room, also annoyingly well-lit. He would have to open his eyes to know who his instructor was.

He did so, saw his instructor at the end of the staging area and clenched his eyes shut painfully. Damn. An instant later, he was standing by him. He slammed a closed fist into an open palm and bowed quickly, respectfully. "Sir. Anzen Hokiro reporting."

'Masaki Yamada, Team two. Leader, Bifuu Aori.'

"So it begins.." The Boy adjusted his hair, light brown and chopped so it all arced to his right shoulder.. or atleast it would if the wind didn't keep blowing it everywhere.. His green eyes Looked over to where his new leader stood, and his started to walk towards him. Adjusting his blue armless tactical vest, He smiled at his new master, his top had a blue main body with the the arms and chest piece are being black, This lead down to a pair of black bottoms. His gloves were so long that they covered over his elbows and half way up his arm, only just leaving enough space to show the tattoo on his left shoulder, each glove had a miniature head band protector plate on the knuckle, proudly showing the Konoha leaf. "Master.." he bowed his head "Yamada Masaki reporting"

The young chunin walked on the road to the leaf village, His headband wrapped around the shoulder, the sign of the hidden sand village clear. Cubia's eyes were filled with dread as he walked. His right yellow and eye spider web tattoo clear as day, He hoped that knodeldge of his curse had not reached this village. Thinking abou tit sent shivers up Cubia's spine, whispers echoing through is head.

"Shut up. Don;t go acting up NOW, not here."

Cubia came to the gate of Konaha, and looked around. It looke dlike a nice place...no sand though.

"Guess I'll just have ot make dew."

- So many thoughts-

So many thoughts raced through Kousa's mind, he was overjoyed but also bored, he felt tired and also anxious. He was a true kaguya, wild and unstable even in thought. Getting up quickly he entered the next room. He saw his team mate in front of his obvious Squad leader. "Names Kaguya Kousa reporting in", Kousa said brashly looking around at the other groups.

Man these guy's also made it huh?, he though coolly in his head while also trying to keep himself perfectly calm. Can't show my instability, not yet anyways, He thought to himself while flicking a finger against a his hair in the back.

A distance away from the Konoha gates a large canine came up before the horizon. Running at high speed toward the gates it appeared to get bigger until it was clearly seen as a coyote about the size of a horse with a person on it's back wearing a deep red outfit. Slowing it's speed within a 100 yards of the gates panting heavily. The rider now in focus was seen as a young woman with long brown hair wearing a deep red kimono. Stopping right before the gate the woman jumped down and smiled at the coyote. "Thank you Isamu, this was much easier then waiting around." The coyote nodded before disappearing in a cloud of smoke pure sign of a summon. Turning she set her deep red eyes on Rai.

"Oh it's you the genin from last year." Her tone was polite but dry like the dessert she came from. Her kimono was more detailed up front, the sleeves and hem a deep wine red. Her obi black and white. Her Sand headband tied around her left leg, in her hand was a small blue pouch. She brushed dust off her shoulder and spoke again. "You seem better off now then when you were in our village."

~Toshi Kurosaki----Lame~

Every town has its own fool. Some fools last for only a couple years before they are finally thrown out by the natives. Some fools last forever. See that short kid, the one in the center of all the desks, exactly in the middle, where everyone can see him? You know, the one with patched clothing, absolutely no signs of footwear, and a goofy smile. He looks like a clown, just look at him. What was he doing there, at the graduation? Wasn't he the kid who always go in trouble, often disrupting classes for jokes that weren't even funny at all? The kid who always made a fool out of himself, what was he doing there? Shouldn't he still be an Academy Ninja, what kind of idiot would allow this freak to become a shinobi? Who would even dare giving the fool such honor? He was a freak, a clown, a fool, and above all an idiot.

Toshi was a fool no doubt about that, but he wasn't an idiot. Sure he would often do foolish stuff in front of the entire class just for attention, sure he would often defy authority and openly mock his classmates. In fact the kid was the worst student in the academy. Always failing tests, always goofing up during training courses. He couldn't even perform a successful transformation jutsu, none-the-less a cloning jutsu. Most people wondered what he was doing in Konoha in the first place. Rumor has it the youngster came from a family of circus performers, famous for their trapeze artforms and illusionary tricks. It was said that he was the grandson of the great Genjutsu ninja himself who graduated from the Ninja Academy with top scores. Most folks would suspect Toshi to carry on this family tradition of being the best of the best. Unfortunately, this wasn't the case. If you asked people what Toshi reminded you of they would all say the same thing, his father. The child was nothing more than a troublemaker in the heart of the people of Kohona. The teachers had to deal with the brat every second of the day. His grandfather would be the one to suffer complaints from angered citizens. In the end, it was Toshi that was scolded. Now it was all going to change. He was a ninja now, a shinobi. He'll show those punks who's boss and that a Kurosaki is not something to mess with. Especially a Kurosaki who knows how to publicly humiliate his enemies.

The fool of Konoha yawned as the proctor read out the teams. This was soooo lame, why did they have to be in squads? He could do things very well by himself. Besides, his teamates will probably steal his spotlight, his spotlight. Well that won't happen, not while he's alive. He will show those punks that nobody steals the Kurosaki spotlight and gets away with it. The shorty tugged at one of the thick ropes that held together his three bronze bowls, all the same size, as if they were some sort of back pack. He was getting impatient, he didn't even know half the people in here, even though he probably should. The brat was always so focused on being the center of attention he didn't even bother socializing. Okay maybe trying to get people to talk to him counts as socializing...but that's not the point. Every person here already knew he was a joke anyways. But everything seemed so boring at the moment, the place needed some excitement. And excitement shall soon come. For now, the short clown would have to get aquainted with his teamates. He approached the staging area on his bamboo walking sticks, using the stepping plane 6 feet from the ground. He was soaring over all the other shinobi, something he loves doing. He was practically the tallest one here with the aide of his bamboo walking sticks. Just think, everyone was probably looking at him, he was the center of attention! But that wasn't enough for this clown.

Okay, so we all know the guy's short right? In fact he's the shortest shinobi to ever graduate from the academy. He's also the dirtiest kid...well, he looks dirty. His physical appearance is nothing but shades of brown. Tanned complexion, mousy brown hair that's in desperate need of some combing, and those twinkling brown eyes. Those eyes look innocent enough, who couldn't trust those sweet, twinkling eyes? They were the eyes of a child, definately no trouble hiding behind those eyes. If it wasn't for his flashy appearance he probably would blend in with everyone pretty nicely, but that's not what he wants to do. The "Vest of Many Colors", a vest made entirely out of patches with too many pockets to count, and it compliments those patched brown trousers pretty nicely. If he wanted to blend in, he'll just wear his silky black cloth as a cloak, which was exactly what he was doing at the moment. He also had bandages running up and down both his arms and legs, most likely resulting from all those stupid stunts he performs. He really is a daredevil, never thinking before acting. Nothing like your common idiot ninja. As he neared his new teacher, he looked around at everyone else. How lame, all the un-talented people were here. Seriously, the place was filled with a bunch of boring kids. His teamates better not be this lame, but that's not he was afraid of. It was the idea of having a bossy lady as a teacher that scared him. You know what that means, less pranks more work. How lame.

Then, an idea popped in his head.

Everyone here seemed so serious, so gloom...he needed to lighten them up. In a flash, the fool pressed a button near the seventh of the eight slots in his bamboo walking sticks, and twin bars popped out, joinging together to create a single trapeze. He swung himself using the trapeze, so that he was standing on top of it. Grinning down, at the growing crowds below of new genin, he sang;

"Ladies and gentlemen, may I have your attention please?
I bet you heard of a wonderful guy, who's name is known far and wide
Well, ladies and gentlemen, I'll have you know that man is me
The one and only son of a talented one named Jungo!

Who can catch a sunny ray?
Turn a sad night into a happy day?
Who can do this?
Well I say...
...JUNGO CAN!

Who can make a flower bright and true?
Turn the grey skies into blue?
What sort of wonders can one man do?
JUNGO CAN!

He can walk on the rainbow, on a colorful banner
He knows how to create spring from the coldest winter
He knows the location of the pot of gold
Oh how many can one man know?

I tell you a secret, it's not that hard
To be as great as a playful bard
If only, if only, if only you knew
If Jungo can do it
SO CAN YOU!

Why don't you believe me?
What I say is true
If Jungo can do it, there's really nothing to it
If Jungo can do it...

SO!
CAN!
YOOOOOOU!"

Through the course of the entire song the son of Jungo performed a series of complicated acrobatic stunts, all on that single trapeze. He did it all with a sort of flair, a sort of "look at me, I'm so cool" thing to it. He would often take risks, and miss the trapeze a few times just so he could catch it by his feet. Indeed he was either really bold, or entirely stupid, maybe both. And thing is, the kid didn't seem to be breaking a sweat, and was strangely very flexible for his size. Who knew how the kid did have of the stuff he did. Near the ending of the song, he launched himself in the air, did a series of extravagant flips, before landing on the ground with his hands. He then balanced himself so that he was balancing on one hand, grinning wildly at his new sensei. "Toshi Kurosaki, reporting for duty!"

Azuna walked forwards, her emerald green eyes glanced at Yamada as he walked off. All that damn training, so that our fighting styles work perfectly together... and we’re put in separate groups. She sighed and shook her head, walking towards where ever it was she was supposed to be.

Azuna was taller than some of the kids around her, her long hair billowing out behind her. She wore body armour that matched her brother’s a red sash tied around her waist.

=Konoha Gates=

The moment someone came into view, Rai narrowed his eyes slightly as he searched the figure’s body at a distance for their headband. It was a sand ninja, one of the three of whom he was expecting to arrive. The young man had been given very few details about who exactly was coming, so he couldn’t help but wonder whether or not he’d actually know a few. The first arrival he didn’t recall from memory, however the moment another person arrived he couldn’t help but feel his memories tug at him a bit. He recognized her, however it took him a few moments to remember her name.

“You could say that. I’ve been promoted to chunin since we’ve last met.” Rai said as he pulled himself off the ground, stood up straight, and made eye contact with the girl.
“You’re Tama~san correct?” Rai was a bit uncertain, so clearing up any misunderstandings right away would be good. The young man turned towards Cubia, his face somewhat neutral as he looked at the boy’s strange tattoo and eye coloration.
“And you are?” he asked in a somewhat friendly way.

[Konoha Villiage, Advanced Corps Facility]

Somewhere in the crowd of Genin, a short tanned kid with a mask was nervous as all hell...

Sonda wasn't nervous about being in a crowd, crowds were some of the best hiding places he knew of. No, Sonda was nervous about meeting the rest of his team. He only knew Hakarui, and that was just because he had heard his name as he passed by a conversation he was involved in.

Making his way over to where his team was supposed to be gathering, Sonda was doing everything he could not to run away from them. He was never very good talking to people. He was also known as a bit of a freak and he knew, he just knew, that his team would hate him. He wanted to bolt right then and there, but he suddenly found himself bumping into another Genin. (Running into her from her side, with enough momentum to knock over the unwary.) Looking up, Sonda saw a rather tall (and to him, mean looking) girl with long brown hair and blue body armor.

"S-Sorry" Sonda managed to sputter out as he backed away. Under his mask the young Genin's face was red with embarassment, both from bumping into the girl, and having to talk to her.
And God looked down upon the mortals and said: "...wtf are you noobs doing on my lawn?"

That's the problem with worshipping the god of schemes. You never quite know whether or not you're being divinely blessed, screwed over royally, or both at the same time.

Cubia turned to Rai.

"I am Cubia, Sand Chunin."

Cubia glanced away as he saw Rai glance at his eye and tattoo, and looked ot the ground to his right.
Thanking god silently fro his eye calming down, Cubia still hated the fact that it was such an eye sore, no pun intended. He had a feeling that as long as he was in Konaha, he would have this problem alot.

-Yu Yu-
It had been 3 years since the storm that destroyed the Yushka clan. His time in Konoha had been well spent so far. It was graduation day for the Konoha Advanced Corps. and he was among the new wave of genin to be produced by Konohagakure. This was proud day for him, and his departed clan.

Yukenra stood looking at the graduating class of genin he was apart of. He was happy, his current step on the way to becoming a great ninja had been completed. He was now a leaf genin, and an elite one at that. Now that it was over, his goal accomplished, he was like a leaf in the wind. He payed little attention during the announcements. He knew where he was supposed to be going, but that was about it. He didn't particularly care who his team mates were, or his new master. Some fool was bounding around and making a mockery of their new found status as ninja, but he casually walked into the next room where his new master awaited. He got a good look at the guy who introduced himself before him, as well as his new sensei.

"Damn, so far I'm the runt of the group." he thought to himself as the other nin in Team 2 were closer to six feet tall than five.

After Yamada had introduced himself, he walked up and did the same. "Aori-sensei...........Yushka Yukenra, reporting." he said with a slight bow as well.

-Azuna-

Azuna’s eyes went wide momentarily before her rear hit the ground with a heavy thump. ’Ouch! What the hell was that.’ Her green eyes flickered upwards to where her masked assailant was standing. She felt like a fool for not darting out the way, or doing some stupid balancing trick with her feet to stay standing.

She averted her eyes and climbed to her feet, her eyes flickering to where her brother was... No he was barely paying attention, so it wasn’t some attempt at a practical joke, granted, this was hardly his style. She dusted herself down, her hands brushing the dirt from the seat of her trousers. “Don’t worry ‘bout it... Could’a happened to anyone.” She stuck her hand out the flesh covered by short fingerless gloves, “Name’s Azuma, team three...”

Tama nodded casually brushing her hair behind her back. "Yes, I'm glad to be remembered, have our lodgings been prepared or do we have no time to relax?" She looked to Cubia in disdain sure sigh she didn't think much of him. "The last of our team Shirohime doubled back to ensure we were not followed, there is no need to send others to her she is a fine jonin and does not require help and will be here soon enough." She looked bored as if her mission was child's play to her, her expression was almost emotionless but with a slight frown to Cubia. "Try and not embarrass our village with your whining Cubia." Her tone changed from polite to a chill in under a second, her eyes were hard and without any sign of merit. Though her smile was a cruel twist as she spoke.

FUCK! the voice in Sonda's head screamed. First impression with a team member and he's already made an ass of himself. He really wanted to run away as fast as he could now but he had the Azuma's attention and he didn't want to seem like a even bigger ass than he already was.

Sonda tapped his finger aginst his palm to make sure the tekagi-shuko were retracted (this is trained habit of his) before taking the hand offered to him in a rather meek grip. It was kind of hard to tell what the young Genin said, but it sounded an awful lot like; S-Sonda, t-t-team three...

Aori didn't seem to even notice their presence. He was practicing throwing his kunai except his was throwing three of them at the time and was hitting the center easily. Something strange was happening, though. His aim seemed to be way off and but the kunai kept hitting the dead center on each target. "So, rookies, where is the third guy? I only count two of you." He closed his eyes and threw the kunai and his aim was really off that time yet, again, the kunai hit the exact center of the targets.

Cubia's head snapped to Tama, his eye on her with the malice he usually left for battle.

"And do not let your supuriirity complex keep you from seeing that this is a team mission Tama. I will bring pride to our village, not shame like some."

Cubia then truned away from her, going back tohis meek and quite self. In the sand village, he was pretty much shunned except for a few individuals, and his summon scorpions. They were the only ones who truly cared. Turning back to Rai, Cubia smiled a small smile.

"I hope we will be of some use ot Konaha."

Azuna smiled slightly, “Team three eh?” Her green eyes searched him, he seemed no more than a frail clumsy boy, “Well Sonda... Looks like we’re stuck with each other...” She lowered her voice slightly, “You forget that I ended up on my ass in the dirt... and i’ll forget you bumped into me” she laughed slightly, it was a shy innocent laugh, “The last thing I’ll need is my brother reminding me how I made a fool of myself at graduation”

She released his hand, her smile hadn’t faltered, “Deal?”

Yamanda looked over to his sister, who had been knocked to the floor by another person 'i thought she was more graceful than that.. silly girl' He then looked to his team mate "Yamada Masaki... Long range wind Ninjitus specialist.. nice to meet you team mate.." he smiled, offering his hand to shake.

=Konoha Gates=

Rai’s eyes softened up slightly when he noticed Cubia looking away from him. It was obviously because he had caught him staring at his ‘odd’ colored eye and tattoo. At that moment Rai couldn’t help but feel a bit bad for doing so, he knew all too well how it was to have people think something was strange about his own eyes.
“Don’t worry, I get a lot of attention because of my eyes too.” Rai said with a smile forming onto his face, being a Hyuuga meant that he had the traditionally pale and blind looking eyes. Even in his own village he could feel people looking in his direction because of it, so he could understand how hurtful it was when someone noticed them. The young man turned his attention to Tama as she spoke to him, he had almost forgotten how ‘businesslike’ she was, or at least that was how Rai saw it.

“We haven’t been assigned a mission as of yet, and the living quarters have already been prepared for you…” Rai blinked when he heard her mention the name of the third member of the team. He placed his hand onto his forehead and covered his eyes, letting out a small sigh as the memories flooded into his mind.
“So that woman is coming here too, just great…” he mumbled to himself, letting his hand drop away from his face so that he could once again look at the other two. Rai remained silent as the others made some fairly rude remarks, it was obvious that there was a good bit of tension between the two. It wasn’t his place to get involved though, but he didn’t want to allow it to escalate either.
“I’m sure you’ll both do fine Cubia~san…” he said, feeling a bit uncomfortable after the two began their argument.

Tama ignored Cubia's quips at her, if anything it was like a bug annoying her and she didn't see fit to respond to petty insults. Though she did look at him with a small smirk on her face before turning back to Rai. "Pardon the petty talk of foolishness, so we can rest a bit that is good." She also noted his mumbling to himself with wonderment. "Is there anywhere we can go as perhaps for food while we wait for Shiro?" She sighed knowing her tone was still much too stiff and she was told to be more kindly with the Leaf ninjas. "Forgive my crudeness Rai san, perhaps the journey was more tiring then I would of liked."

-Yu-Yu-

"Yeah, they should be along pretty soon I would think." Yukenra said. He looked to the team mate addressing him now. "Yushka Yukenra." he said with a pleasant smile and accepting the handshake. "I use my clan's Kekkei Genkai: Seafoam Rebirth...." he molded some chakra to show him the seeming scentless and white sea foam forming on the ground around his feet. He then took his crystal blade and cut himself with it. Before his blood flowed into the area, the white foam had encompassed the wound and was remaking the tissue as it was before. The foam soon dripped off leaving the wound untraceable. "I'm a foam user and crab summoner. I'm pretty good with this sword too." he said. He told them the bare minimum they needed to know about him.

"Nice to meet you and good for you, bunky." The second remark was addressed to Yukerna. Aori didn't seem too impressed by his demonstration. He turned to them and said "Pop quiz: How are my kunai hitting their marks?"
Final Fantasy IX was the best Final Fantasy game ever and if you think otherwise you are WRONG!

"Bunky? Seriously?" he thought at the on the spot nick name. "Um....bunky....? Sir?" he said to the guy.

Yukenra had been trailing the kunai that flew in an off direction, and even they hit the center by some phenomenon. "They all hit the center Aori sensei." he said. Genjutsu on the target, chakra strings, or wind user?" he asked having thought up the most feasible answers to the pop quiz, in his mind.

"A Genjustu would be too inefficient... chakra strings are the more likely i believe.. and if that's wind manipulation.. i've got to learn how to do that.. all i can do with wind chakra is make things realllly sharp.." He looked at the kuni with interest, watching them fly into the centre of the target the precision "It could also be any number of other ninjutsu's.. if they were Kage Kuni he could control them towards the target at will.."
