Or he could just clone his body(making it cancer free mind you) and then download all his memories into that body, thus cheating death. He could always do that. :P

Yea, if he the technology for it. And I think cloning is illegal :P

Hopefully he will drop dead soon, providing a push factor for PPGs to be more decided and allowing them to develop some more interesting relations or drawing some more life-related inner conclusions.

Or the same happens only he still alive.

Hey if people can make robotic little girls with absurd hair styles then people should be able to clone themselves to prevent from dying no?

Meh. Haven't seen Professor perform cloning yet. And Robotics is different from Genetics. You can't just create a "circuit" for a living breathing clone. It works differently.

Please no cloning, it's so lame and overused.
Besides it would have been too simple. Where would all the drama go then?

Robotics, Genetics its all science in the long run(and besides if Professor can create life by sheer dumb luck then I fail to see what could stop him from cheating Rose, I mean death. Besides his own accidental nature that is) Also, the cloning idea wasn't meant to be taken THAT seriously, its more of a joke idea at best.

Ah, good to see this going again. I missed reading, and am too lazy to go find an actual book. Plus this is better for some reason.

Also cloning and memory transfer seems kinda silly. Cloning and organ harvest though...

Rose doesn't even exist in this fic so please refrain from being her up.

And no it's not just science by the long run. Genetics is a very serious and difficult matter. Besides, remember what happened to last guy who tried cloning in this universe?

The only time I will even consider referencing Rose is if I draw a pic of her and Blood that demonstrates exactly how lowly I think of your girl, Bob.

"Ok, sooo..." Buttercup mumbled, "We done with the whole homework thing for tonight?"

The Professor nodded, glad that Buttercup distracted him from a potentially depressing train of thought, "Yes I think we've done enough for tonight." He reached for the TV remote on the armrest, "Do you wanna watch something?" The TV came to life, picture slowly forming on its truncated rectangular screen. "I think the news is on." the Professor remarked. Bubbles nestled a little closer to him, and he put his arm around her to assure her that he was there. Buttercup leaned forward in the armchair just across the room from the large couch, hoping to catch a sports update or news of an exciting police chase.

What they were met with instead was the closing of a smalltime local story. The reporter, the usual female nightly anchor, did the voiceover as footage ran of houses seen from the air. Right in the middle of the picture was an enormous fallen tree that had crashed across the small suburban street and landed between two fortunate homes, only the outer branches scraping against the walls and roof of both buildings. The anchor's voice was calm. Clearly this was a case of luck over tragedy. "-from a broken fence and several damaged roof tiles, there was no major destruction of property. Megaville fire services called to the scene say that it's a miracle that neither house was crushed and that nobody was hurt in the collapse. The tree was cleared late this afternoon..."

The picture cut back to the newsroom, showing the female anchor and her flowing brown hair parted neatly over her face. A scrollbar ran across the bottom of the screen but none of the three who were watching paid any attention to it as she began to speak, a graphic over her shoulder catching their utmost attention. Smoke, wrecked vehicles and a span of water over roadway. Buttercup and Bubbles recalled the scene immediately as if the graphic was displaying what they saw for themselves as they approached the carnage atop the Harvey Bridge. The Professor, meanwhile, watched in fascination.

"In our main story tonight, police tonight are still trying to determine the cause of a large explosion on the Harvey Bridge earlier today. Authorities have confirmed four men are dead after what was thought to be an armoured cruiser exploded violently as it was being escorted across the bridge, which had been closed for the occasion. The explosion was said to be so powerful that several of the escorts were caught up in the blast, leading to the deaths of three individuals in the escorts as well as the driver of the cruiser itself. Police Senior Sergeant Rodd Walker was one of the first on the scene."

The image switched to show the visage of a man that both girls knew rather well. Bubbles actually began smiling. She admired that man because of the job he did and the values he tried to uphold everyday for the benefit of the city and its people. "Well, uh... when we got here we found the remaining drivers together in a group and it seemed they were as lost for an explanation as we were. This would have been a routine investigation too, but these men are government workers and they insisted they conduct the cleanup and investigation themselves."

"Police have been unable to determine what branch of the government these men worked for but a brief statement was issued saying that the cause of the blast was likely to be a faulty fuel control system in the cruiser's modified engine. The contents of the destroyed vehicle were not revealed." Just as the story closed, an image of a man, who Buttercup remembered as the leader of the surviving men (but not the one who labeled them as brats) flashed onto the screen, showing him acting in an uncomfortable but seemingly co-operative manner. As the image returned to the news studio, the Professor's eyes widened.

"That was-" he began, but he was cut off.

"Shh!" Buttercup hissed, a little too rudely, "Sports!"

Sure enough... "Updating sports now, and Domingo Ortiz has been forced to pull out of the Patito Cup with a foot injury after this nasty fall during his match with Frenchman Rene Gauthier." Bubbles winced as she watched the replay of the Cuban lunging for the ball, only to have his ankle buckle beneath him, rolling awkwardly and sending him to the ground in agony. The newsreader continued, "Ortiz was leading the match four sets to one."

Buttercup snickered, "Some people are so weak... I got sucked into space and the worst I got was a stupid cough."

Bubbles dared to correct her, "And you looked absolutely horrible for a month or so..."

Buttercup flashed her a toothy grin, "A cosmetic setback that I quickly overcame, thankyaverymu-" she broke off and covered her mouth as another fit of coughing seized her from having attempted to roll many words into one. She seemed to choke and sputter, her lungs still ravaged despite how long she'd had to recover.

Hmm, I wonder who that may be...

And I suppose the news of the fallen tree has to do with the something inside the van... unless I am applying Chekhov's gun law at random...

Blaze: One time deal I assure you

Grids: My personal little take on my characters is that I'm bluntly put not at ALL picky when it comes to fanwork or other forms of media, or the numerous artwork subjects that exist that people could draw them in. You could draw Blood pawning the literal CRAP out of Rose with her vague and confusing but none the less intresting powers of what I can only call doom, and I would sit back and laugh my ass off at it. I'm evil like that and I know not to look a gift horse in the mouth(unless it be wooden). So if you want to draw something with the Goddess of... What ever it is Blood does showing our shared feelings and thoughts on Rose then by ALL means, I insist, besides Rose can't fight worth jack aways so all the more fun for me. You got my seal of approval. (That being said lets drop the Rose topic like a hot potato shall we?)

The story: Ah, the news. Where would we be without you? Well for starters, no Daily Show, that would suck. Buttercup as usual is too much of a brick wall to admit how close she came to dying(or whatever it was that happened, my memory is hazy at this point) Now if only we knew what my favorite cyborg ruler was doing at the moment...

Still, I'm amazed how of a fighter BC was when she got blown away and left to the vacuum to die... Until now, she still have that coughing fit. Is that damage she took in the lung that bad? She should have healed faster than that D:

Space is cold....and lacking in atmospheric pressure. The mere fact that she didn't explode from the pressure within her not having an equal pressure pushing back on top of her is a testament of how strong she is. Breathing in, or sucking in the lack of atmosphere would just wreck havoc to her insides. Lungs also don't recover very well, and I can only assume super powered lungs would also be limited in how fast they recover.

Plus giving a character a chronic condition that hinders their regular actions is just sadistic. Why kill a character when you can make the most avid fighter a lead weight? I think this type of situation will pop up at least once.
