As some (5 of you) may remember thiscomicsucks.com was forever lost to the depths of the internet (RIP, gogglus ir cachecus en oh em gee) so I'm having to go through the wonderful process of thinking up a new domain name (still debating a few alternatives).

The more important issue: Who do I register with? I made a HUGE mistake in who I registered with and now it has cost me a domain name I owned for over 5 years.

Im not as concerned with price as I am having a company who won't sell the name out from under me.

Try using a free domain service like no-ip or co.nr.

I already HAVE a free domain...looking to get something official with a .com ending. Domains are NOT expensive, and I'm willing to pay for one (again I did so for like 6 years) I just want one who will remind me once a year to pay for it and not go "Oh, times up! Sold to the highest bidder!"

I've had all my domains and client domains with godaddy.com with no issues. I host with hostgator and again, haven't had any problems with them.

Added after 1 minutes:

This combo was found after several bad hosting companies, and have domain names with whoever I was being hosted on... then having them go out of business and not keep my crap up to date. Etc etc.

Dave uses Joker. I did for a bit too, they were nice and let me know several times my domain was about to expire.

yeah I use joker but everyone else on planet earth uses godaddy. So I dunno whatever really. godaddy is cheaper by a few bucks. I just had a bad experience domain registry the first time and after switching to joker I will NEVER change again.

i got my domain registered through WhoisXY . i got my domains with who is protection.

this one just seems silly.
