The shadow is a bit weird.

First of all, shadows are very rarely completely black. Only in a situation with a single lightsource and nothing for the light to bounce off of, would it be completely black. The shadow should not be much darker than the darkest shadows on the mech. Also, shadows are also rarely that clearly defined. Blur it up.

Second, the way the shadow is formed, a copy, opposite of the original, makes it look like the ground is a mirror, and the mech is making a dark reflection. Depending on both lightsource and perspective, the shadow is "squashed", because it's a flat texture that lies on the ground. If the sun is directly behind you, and you look at the shadow from above, it should more or less look like a dark version of yourself lying on the ground, but if the sun is a bit more above you, it will get shorter and "fatter". Further, if the perspective isn't from directly above, like in the picture, the shadow will also be squashed.

That's the reason a lot of artists represents with shadow with a blurry blob. You can do that, or squash and blur a dark version of the original significantly.

@Vegedus: I know, but PowerPoint doesn't have "blurr tool", as far as I know. I would've blurred the shadow in office's "PhotoEditor", if I had the damn thing installed on my comp' and I don't have the installation CD. I tried to make shadow lighter, but I can't do much more in PowerPoint, since it can't make imported images transparent. Even though I called it "Final" version, I'm actually still working on it. I'm aware that shadow looks wierd and I'm currently working on it. Thanks for the critique, though.

@Mir@k: Like I said, I exported it and then imported it as an image, so I can't make it transparent. I did it that way because I couldn't change brightness and contrast, mirror it and rotate it if it wasn't an image (Well, actually I could, but since it's not real 3D, it would've fallen apart). So, transparency was impossible, but I gained few other functions.
@MDK: Thanks for the tip, I'll try to get GIMP.

Actually, I didn't use other programs because I wanted to do this completely in PowerPoint, to show you that it's possible to do so. I'll use "scribble" to make a shadow, then I'll be able to make it transparent. I'm working on Thor 'mech, but I'm not sure I'll finish it on time. It's legs seem a bit off at the moment...

I made a new shadow and changed one detail on 'mech:

I'll try to finish Thor tomorrow and if I do, I'll make the picture with Thor and MadCat walking side-by-side.

True, that mechanical hand needed few more moving parts, but I erased them 'cause they didn't turn out well... I'm quite sure that thumb needed one more rotation axis, but - oh, well...
I'm curently working on few PowerPoint-made images, I think I'll finish them by tomorrow or day after that...
