Name: Kevin ‘Brendik’ Stephens
Appearance: Returning from the cold north of Norway, Kevin’s appearance has been altered quite a bit. Along with some diagnosis with his personality but we’ll get to that later, in the Three Year History. The first and foremost noticeable thing is that Kevin has dyed his hair to a darker blonde, and now uses makeup to hide the fact that he’s albino, a thin coat, only worn in public, when out of public he will remove it, and quickly. The reason for this accessory is to give his face a color. Secondly Kevin has grown tall, tall, tall, tall, six foot three tall, and still grownin’. The now young man has altered his physical state as well, adding on some muscle, but no abs just biceps, so if he ever has to he can use the sword that he carries on his back. Kevin also seems to be just as agile as he was when he first entered into the academy, if not more. Kevin wears gloves now, all the time, he hates doing so, as he does the makeup. His wardrobe has changed a wee bit as well. Leathers and furs mostly due to the cold climate, but has a few pairs of jeans, shorts and t-shirts.
Weapons of Choice: Over the three years Kevin’s Axe and Scimitar have seen much use, a little less now that he has another blade.
The axe has a new blade on the end, no longer serrated but sharper than most of the swords seen today. The shaft of the axe looks as if it has been splintered a few times but repaired or replaced masterfully. The new axe head looks like a crescent that curves inward with a little gap then metal connects it to the shaft, but continues with a spike on the back.
The sword however is new, the scimitar broke while practicing. Now Kevin has a large, very thick one handed Viking sword that he can wield with as much ease as his last sword.
Stormbringer: This blade is almost half Kevin’s size. Dark green leather wraps around the hilt of the sword with a red tassel that hangs from the pommel. The guard of the sword looks almost like a charred bone hand that extends from the hilt out and curves up. There are runes in the blade, although uncolored, but when soiled in blood they become all too visible. Stormbringer does not seem magical, to Kevin at least, and also a wee bit heavier than it looks. Kevin received the sword during his birthday in a year in between; it was crafted and named by his real father. Kevin’s use of it is rare only in the direst of situations. Although the blade can be wielded with one hand Kevin prefers to use it with two, giving him more maneuverability with the sword. He is also extremely protective of the sword letting only people he trusts most hold it.
Personality: Over the three years Kevin’s step parents took him to a psychiatrist, who diagnosed him with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder that was paired with a phobia of crowds. The phobia of crowds had steamed from the fact that since he was young his mental state was constantly aggravated that other children would tease him and pick on him due to his white skin which in turn made him constantly angry at everyone which created the harming obsession/compulsion, and the near flawlessness of him carrying it out. Kevin is in essence the same person, although he can now enter large crowds, but gets very nervous, and will start swinging at the slightest hint of a fight.
Three year history:
The few years haven’t changed much for dear Kevin. His morning routine is the same; meditate to practice his element, practice with his weapons.
During the summer after his first year in the academy Kevin was taken to a psychiatrist by his foster parents. It was he who diagnosed Kevin with his disease and gave him a two part medication. Kevin was very displeased with the fact that he must put on rouge and other such items to help relieve the control the disorder had on him, along with his daily medication. Kevin has stopped letting blood from his own body for adrenal enhancements during fights too.
It was Kevin’s birthday the next day, and he was unable to lift what his parents gave him, Stormbringer. After a month or two of weight lifting Kevin was still barely able to lift the sword. He continued to work out until school started for his second year, by this time Kevin could hold the weapon, and use it, but was very inexperienced with it. Ever since he got the sword he claims to hear a thing that wasn’t there, but disregarded it after his doctor added to the list of symptoms that came with his mental disease.
His second year he became a little more social but still shies away from crowds. He stayed in touch with Emma, and surprisingly made another ‘friend’, Thorne. Even though they don’t know each other very well, Kevin, oddly enough, enjoys his jokes and his company. Also Kevin has picked up guitar; with his element and summer lessons Kevin has become quite the ‘shredder’, playing hits from various metal and rock bands. Not only does he play the lead on these songs, almost effortlessly, he may start singing as well. The only few bands that currently give him trouble are Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, and Dragon Force.
At the end of the second year he kept in touch with both Emma and Thorne, all the while practicing with Stormbringer, which he added a specific hour for during his morning practices. Kevin keeps his ability with the wind element a well kept secret that he only shares with his teacher and Isadore, since he is in the same class. Speaking of Isadore, he has managed to look past the boy’s obvious flaws, many as they may be, and embraced him as a friend.
One of Kevin's peers, Erden he was called, approached Kevin in the beginning of the third school year. Aside from finding the boy amusing and that he's mexican looking, Kevin doesn't know all that much about him. Erden seems to have a habit of calling Kevin 'Kev'. Kevin doesn't really mind, or care, what Erden calls him. Erden was not the only one who Kevin became friends with. Artemis Stone caught his eye a few times and was actually convinced by Isadore, who else, to speak with her. Kevin did so, reluctantly at first, but came to be friends with the girl after the talk. And, through countless long hours of training, he has mastered the Stormbringer; Kevin wields the sword with a ruthless elegance. When he removes the blade from its place on his back it seems to sing a dark song before rending Kevin's foes to his feet.
Some notes: The 'Brendik' is Kevin's middle name, it was also his first name before he was adopted, along with Stormbringer being his last. Also the last sentence will be edited if anyone wants to still be involved with Kevin after the timeskip, since it will become very difficult.
