Congratulations on your admission into Elemental Academy! You, along with many others have been evaluated upon your entry into high school and proven worthy to properly hone your skills under true masters of the elements. Those who have the true gift shall be trained by the headmaster himself. The test to determine your strongest element shall be held as the annual tournament, which starts on the first day of September.

This RP starts just before the tournament to give people a bit of time to get a feel for their characters.

Elements
The 6 Elements are Water, Fire, Wind, Earth, Darkness and Light. There are other SubElements that are described below as well as types of magic. Everyone will start out with a small amount of ability in each element.

If you wish to make a teacher CS but the class you want to teach is already taken/not on the list anywhere, ask me and I may or may not accept it.

SubElements:
BloodAlready Taught – The main purpose of Blood is to enhance the power of various barriers, but it has various other uses not known to many.

LightningAlready Taught – Usually used to speed up an organic being or recharge/power up a mechanical being.

ShadowAlready Taught – Used to help warriors in stealth, allowing them to sneak around by rendering them virtually invisible in the night.

Types of Magic:
DruidicAlready Taught – This form of magic includes the transformation into WereBeasts, each type having their own unique abilities. The telltale that someone’s about to use one of these spells is the sign of whatever animal’s WereBeast the person is changing into.

PhysicalAlready Taught – This magic is used by the warriors who specialize in melee combat to power up their weapons in some way to give them the edge in hand to hand fights.

ProtectionAlready Taught – These spells are usually used in conjunction with the blood SubElement due to the fact that the majority of these spells are barriers, each varying in resistance and effects.

OffensiveAlready Taught – The Offensive magics are the ones derived from the 6 main elements and are used for those who are not physically adept at and prefer to attack from afar with powerful magic.

ArcaneAlready Taught – Casters of the Arcane magics are those who prefer the tactical way of weakening their foes with curses and illusions before attacking them head on.

AncientNOT TO BE TAUGHT – Spells that the Ancient ones themselves created during a war in the original Elemental Realm in an attempt to stop a Forbidden spell from being cast, but shortly after the creation of these spells a Forbidden Spell was cast, annihilating the original Elemental Realm. Only the Ancients and those they have deemed worthy have knowledge of the Ancient spells.

ForbiddenNOT TO BE TAUGHT – Spells that the Ancients have forbidden use of due to their extremely powerful results that could destroy the world should the wrong being gain the secrets to unlocking the spells.

The Ancients
The Ancients were the six lords of the original Elemental Realm, beings that were both admired and feared for their immeasurable power and ability. The Ancients still live on in this new world, but as spirits waiting for the time when their new bodies are born, allowing them to be fully reincarnated.

Name: kuriame nightsong. many of his friends call him kujo.

Appearance: kuriame is about average height for his age. his hair is a dark brown, and is always kept short and spiked up. deep blue eyes stare out of a heart shaped face. long and skinny fingers often rise to rub his prominent chin when he's deep in thought. kujo is pale from many hours of study. As a result of so much study, he has a stoop in his posture.his build is very slight, but with compact muscles. he wears very simple clothing. A leather tunic, with wool pants and simple sandals are his preference for clothing. kuriame walks very fast, with long strides.

Weapon of Choice: a long staff, made of red oak wood. several owl feathers hang from leather thongs atop the staff. engraved on the top of the staff is a snarling puma. in the middle of the staff is a long hand grip made of molded leather.

Personality: He is a very shy and quite person. Kujo watches and evaluates each and every person who he sees. most of the time he is a very patient person. at other times, he blows up and takes his anger out on the nearest person. He looks down of fools who wear their heart on their sleeve. when fighting, Kujo believes that emotions have no place on the battlefield. logic rules his mind. When ever presented with anything religious, kuriame is very skeptical. Being a man of logic, the thought of having faith in something unprovable baffles him. often times, when presented with a problem, one of his hands flies to his jaw, and he rubs it. another odd habit of his is to play with his hair when very relaxed.

Appearance: Stands at 6ft 2, has long black hair down to the middle of his back. He is lean but muscularly built. His eyes are purple and he has pale skin. He wears a black combats and a black t-shirt, he occasionally wears a black robe with gold trim for special occasions.

Main Element: Darkness

Weapon of Choice: Dark star blade- a long sword with a black blade as dark as the element itself. The handle is gold with brown grip. An amethyst is set into the hilt of the sword.

Personality: Vulcan is kind but he is a quiet individual when in social situations. He manages to be social with a class but when out of the classroom he feels uncomfortable when around people. Vulcan can have an extremely short temper at times, depending on the subject of topic and his wraith is not one to be taken lightly….

Weapon of Choice: Dual-sided blade tonfas, weapons of speed and precision. The blades are a silverish-blue color, and seem to be very thin, the blades tapering out from the middle to make a kind of diamond shape. The handles, with the pommel coming out at a 90 degree angle from the blade, are very simple, made of tempered steel and bound with black leather. The pommel stones, having been embued with so much power, are now ice blue, when the blades were made, they were completely clear. The pommel stones were pale sapphires, because true gemstones hold more power and hold power longer than synthesized gems.

Personality: Serious and studious, Hisui takes her job seriously, wanting to transfer her love of using the wind element to her students. She does try to make her class fun, and uses her powers in some light-hearted pranks to make her classes laugh. She's also a huge flirt with her co-workers, and is constantly tried to get the best of her longtime friend Urufu.

Name: Arnica Malian

Codename: Limelight

Age: 13

Main Element: Light

Appearance: Arnica is of a very modest build, and exceptionally light. Her hair is short and a deep red color, complete with bangs that will often come over her eyes. In turn, her eyes are a surprising green-ish blue, and rather larger than most eyes in comparison to her tiny face. She’s tall for her age, reaching up to 5’7” due to a recent growth spurt. She wears pink fingerless gloves that end a little below her wrist in a shirt-like fold and cuff, with a black lace outline. She also likes to wear a top hat, a simple black one with a pink stripe to match her gloves. Beyond that, she has a white dress shirt with short sleeves and a dark blue tank top underneath and dark blue jeans that flare out just below her knee, leading to her rather fat sneakers, their black shoelaces sporting little skulls. She also wears a belt, and on her left side there’s a small, short chain from the belt that ends in a silver skull. She looks remarkably harmless, and very presentable, despite her wardrobe.

Weapon of Choice: A long, wooden staff. On the top is an ornate crescent moon, the middle of which is filled with a blue iridescent orb that seems to shatter light when it passes through into a million rainbows. The staff itself is rather long and quite strong, with a practical metal core inside the wooden exterior. The wood is sanded, with intricate ribbons of designs all around, sanded and lacquered perfectly to preserve and prevent splinters to the wielder.

Personality: A true showman, Arnica carries herself with the hint of a walking amusement waiting to happen. Her fascination with acting and magic tricks, even if they were mere trifles, have inspired her odd outfits as well as her nature of always wanting to give a performance in everything she does. She has learned several tricks with her weapon as a result, and despite being so young (the fact that others judge her based on her age is something she will often use to her advantage), she has started her very own crash course in being a master of slight of hand. A very materialistic girl who seems to only think of herself and self gain, Arnica will rarely do something that will not in some way repay her for it. However, she will act wonderfully when the situation calls for it, and sees no reason to be impolite or, for that matter, to forego a performance. She’s rather tomboy-ish in nature, charming in her own unique way that isn’t quite like a regular girl, but neither is it like a boy. Her speech is rather unique in the opportunities she creates for herself to trip over her words, but manages to work around those hazards with grace. She rarely allows anything to hinder a performance, a very firm believer that the show must go on. And that it does, regardless if most of the spectators would prefer the show stopped.

Appearance: Xaris has short, black hair and wears a black duster (long coat) over a grey long sleeved shirt and black pants. His eyes are brown and his nose is a bit larger than average. He also wears glasses and a silver ring with a large emerald on his right ring finger.

Main Element: Fire

Weapon of Choice: Xaris wields a glaive with a gold trimmed steel blade and blue fur for decoration.

Personality: Xaris is laid back and appreciates a good joke. His students can never understand what goes on in his mind because during class he is very strict. He also seems to always have something on his mind and gets distracted pretty easily.

Name: Tyrus A. Flint (Friends call him Taft for short. The "A" doesn't stand for anything; his parents couldn't decide between Aaron and Adonis, so they compromised.)

Codename: Five-Score (Though of course no one really explained the choice of codenames, Taft always figured it was because of the five scars he'd received during his tournament; his opponent had turned into a werecat and slashed his left side.)

Age: 43

Appearance: Taft stands at a mildly intimidating 6'2" tall, and can usually be found wearing his faded brown leather jacket over a white button-down shirt and blue cotton pants. He has short brown hair with a streak of white down the middle, a testament to his lengthening years which is highlighted by the onset of wrinkles around his eyes.

Main Element: Water

Weapon of Choice: The Scrivener Family Longbow (Scrivener was his mother's maiden name). This steel longbow has been passed down the Scrivener line for generations. The weapon has five polished sapphires spaced evenly along the shaft, the center of which has an ornate "S" carved into it. The metal in it was forged with crushed pearls from the deep sea, which both lends it a mildly pink gloss and ensures that it will never rust. It is usually carried in an oilskin case on its bearer's back, along with a full arrow quiver made of the same metal as the bow, and is an excellent medium for weapon-related spells.

Personality: Taft is a gentle, friendly soul, always ready with a smile and a bright observation on life in general. He genuinely cares about the craft of teaching, of molding young minds into brilliant ones, and as such does his best to ensure his students actually care about what he's teaching. This can be difficult at times, as history is, well, a historically boring subject, but to keep things interesting he often brings relics from whatever era he's discussing to class. Depending on the era, this can prove to be a challenge, but when it comes to his craft Taft has a few tricks up his proverbial sleeve.

Class Taught: History (Hey, even young wizards need to learn what their ancestors did wrong). Also teaches archery as an extracurricular activity.

Appearance: Leges is a tall fellow and relatively thin. His hair and eyes are black. He is an odd person, and wears a black frock coat. He also wears a black top hat. Legis is also rather pale and bony, with large hands. He wears a cross around his neck and has a silver pocketwatch.

Weapon of Choice: A long sabre. The handle is contains a very durable silver alloy containing white gems and inscriptions. The blade itself is suprisingly strong and unbending even against heavier weapons. Its sheath is silver as well, and wrapped in silver-alloy chains attached to a kama; it can be removed and used as a Kusarigama.

Personality: Leges is a serious person with a dry sense of humor. He is highly sarcastic and loves to mock people in competition, although he will often stay silent. He is religious, however, he does not conform to the common practice of religion, instead doing as he believes to be fit to the will of God. Leges is also a firm believer in the sanctity of the law and will go through any means to have "justice" be done. He tends to hold grudges and will challenge people to duels, which he believes are just, when he believes his honor has been offended. Leges also falsely believes himself to be a pure and just person; superior in morality and immune to the faults of humanity.

Appearances: Naiko wears a traditional white shirt covered by a white jacket, with crimson strip on each side. Naiko also sports white baggy jeans with weird but unique symbols patched on them! His shoes are a deep black with a little red on them. A necklace hangs around his shirts collar, the necklace holds a silver made symbol of an X…for reasons unknown at the moment.
Naiko has bright red hair and red eyebrows as well, very unusual indeed! He stands at 4’9 and weighs 98 ibs. His eyes gleam of a curious crimson color, as well as his lightly tanned skin color.

Weapon of Choice: Naiko wield a short ninjaken which was custom made by his grandfather himself to transfer the users magic into the blade, allowing for a strong superior cut that releases a large blow of force.
The handle is made of pure gold, with the family crest of the cherry blossoms crafted on the heel.

Personality: He is an upbeat and cheerful kid and though he may seem simple-minded and naïve at times, he possesses an unwavering heart and his strong sense of justice is extraordinary.
At times, he is impulsive and quick to anger, but he is always sincere about what he says and does. Never fearing his magestic abilities, Naiko always goes for the big stuff, mostly showing off to get the crowd going.
Never being actually noticed by his relatives Naiko thrives on attention so that he will not feel alone or uncared for! Also identified by his father, Naiko is the weakest in his families history…but this only increaes his determination and will to become as strong as all the others in his bloodline, showing that his attitude is to never hold back and give it all you got…that’s his motto!

Appearance: Cres has chestnut-colored hair tied just behind his head with a small length of cloth. His hair hangs down behind that to the middle of his back. His choice of clothing is outwardly plain: a simple black tee shirtand loose, unrestricting pants, covered by a loose, sleeveless leather robe. His outfit is rounded out by simple sandals and leather foot wraps, leaving his toes and heels exposed.

Despite the worn-look of his hands, feet, and clothes, he appears otherwise superficially flawless.

Weapon of Choice: although familiar with most simple weapons, he doesn't appear to use any, although his hands appear rather worn and rugged. (unarmed)

Personality:
Cress is rather guarded and quiet at first, with a hawkish gaze that leaves no detail to question. When approached, though, he's quite amiable, although he remains quite guarded. He's hardly forthcoming with information, though, and will even make people question if he even knows what they suspect that he does. Despite this outward sheen of ice, he is quite compassionate, and will go out of his way to offer aid to those in true need.
