Sent ya a PM, Geo, if you already have plans, i'll edit my new additional history.
Name: Nara Akira (Akira ironically means “Bright”)
Age: 27
Gender: Male
Village: Konoha
Personality: Akira like all of the males in the Nara Clan is lazy, laid back, and fairly quiet. He often gives an underestimation or view of everything (He called the “Invasion of Konoha” a “little tussle with the neighbours”), expresses very little, and never gets worked up about anything. Its difficult to get Akira interested in anything, especially people, but when you do become his “friend”, it will be easier to see that he actually cares a great deal more than what he shows. Akira is impossible to be taken completely by surprise, though there have been times when he had raised an eyebrow at just how many were coming, or that they were nearly one hundred yards away from him before he noticed. He tries to keep talking to a minimal, and prefers peace and quiet. Though he speaks little, in the time he is quiet, he observes those around them, and reads their faces as if they were books. Akira has never been fooled, pranked, nor successfully lied to, but when he does catch you doing such acts, and most of the time pretends to go along with it, just to make you feel stupid when he exposes you after you have made an idiot of yourself. In those occasions, he will make a small smirk or half smile, for he never laughs aloud, then will help you back to your feet, once you released he beat you. He prefers to spend his free time alone, in dark areas with single light sources, making large shadows. The only other creatures he may be around, is his family’s herd of deer, which he does visit, and can get close enough to pet without the deer running. Both of these activities he prefers to do alone, and very quietly. However, he does hold a soft spot for all those who have lost some one dear to them, and actually try to start a conversation with them, or some words of wisdom. He treats his students with only what they need to know, and focuses on training their mind and focus, rather than practice fighting or ninjutsu, though he still does that training, but only on occasion. Though he isn’t cold to his students, he tends to never really tell then about anything on himself, or socialise with him (sorta like kakashi when you first meet him, except he is always like that, and lacks a sense of humor). To his peers, he speaks with them very little, and has little in the way of friends, but on a mission he understands the importance of team work, and so would help even the person who hated him the most if he saw it as strategically sound and to keep him alive.
New Changes – Though it may not seem like it, Akira has developed a soft spot for his team, one that he is very proud of, though will never show it. Surprisingly, he has recently been found opening a few conversations, though most of them rather brief, but still shocking.
Appearance: Like most of the Nara clan, Akira’s face is lean face and oval shaped, with his black hair pulled back and sticking out behind his head. With eyes that are dark brown, but even darker because Akira’s eyes are always half open, he builds a very mysterious aura around him, with his pale skin barely touched, though his eyes are always searching. He stands at 5’10”, has a light build, weighing only 150 lbs, without much in the way of muscle, making it clear he isn’t a melee fighter. He wears full black, though he doesn’t wear the standard ninja issue of Konoha. Instead, he chooses what the ninjas of old wore, and so he wears a pair of simple black top and black pants, both with slight baggy space inside. He wears a secured black cloth around his waist, acting as a belt and a pair of black leather gauntlets. The top has a hood on it, which when pulled over conceals his entire face, but he can see you for the material is thin enough, though it is still strong. However, he only wears the hood up during missions, and most of the time it just hangs behind him.
New Changes – Akira looks the same
Justus/Skills:
Shadow imitation technique- The signature move of the Nara family, the user's shadow is extended to touch the opponent's shadow, combining them. This links the movements of the user with the target; the target is subsequently forced to make any movement the user makes. It is an extremely versatile technique, as given enough talent the shadow can contract and change shape, and even combine several targets at once. The shadow can also be connected with the shadows of other objects to extend its range. However, this technique can be fought out of using pure strength alone, and any taijutsu user with greater power than Akira Ninjutsu (7+) can fight out of the grasp. The greater the power, the less abilities Akira can use on them. (7 doesn't allow Akira to use "fear", 8 doesn't allow him to use "bind" and 9 can only be held in place for a few minutes [think of "the legendary stupid brothers" in the fillers])
Shadow blind technique-After capturing an opponent with the Shadow Imitation Technique, the user can then further extend their shadow up the targets eye’s. If you are looking to distract or disarm an opponent, shadow blind puts a temporary piece of darkness in their eyes, blinding then for up to 5 minutes. This can be used when making a quick get away, or when trying to humble or pacify a captive.
Shadow neck bind technique- After capturing an opponent with the Shadow Imitation Technique, the user can then further extend their shadow up the targets chest. While in motion, the shadow will form the shape of a crude hand and choke the opponent to death. If the target of the jutsu is sufficiently strong it is possible to resist the effect.
(NEW SKILL) Shadow Fear Technique- -After capturing an opponent with the Shadow Imitation Technique, much like neck bind and Blind, his shadow slowly making his way up the victim’s body. However, in this technique, the entire shadow (not just the hands) crawls it’s way up the body, slowly, and completely submerges the captives body in Darkness. Once in the shell, the enemy will be immobile, and his worst fears will come before his eyes, becoming a Genjutsu that cannot be dispelled once active, and will mentally break any who are in it. Akira now uses this to get answers out of prisoners quickly, as he does it once for a minute (though in the captive’s mind may be longer), releases it, and threats to use it again if his questions aren’t answered to his satisfaction. However, if in use, Akira in immobile and can’t break focus, or else the illusion is dissolved. The Ninjutsu/Genjutsu follows the same rules as his usual Genjutsu and shadow imitation limits,
Shadow walk technique- With this ability, Akira plunges into his shadow, where ever it my lie, and can physically become his shadow. He can move as the shadow moves, meaning that he can slip through cracks, completely hide in other shadows, or can change shape, even hide in some one else’s shadow, though his initial form of a person must also be recognizable. He makes no noise in this form, and stays in a 2D form. The set back to this ability is that the user can only enter the shadow when he or she is covered completely in black (note: his battle uniform), and cannot carry anything on the outside of the clothing (why he can’t hold weapons). The other down side is that even though he is a shadow, if the shadow itself is attacked, then the injuries will appear on the user’s body when they return to the original form. He will be forced to return to original form if knocked out of focus, unconscious, or is dead.
Shadow mould technique- Only used in dire situations, for this is Akira’s least favorite technique, for it requires Taijutsu as well. If found in a position where he cannot retreat, Akira can pick up his shadow with his had, and with his chakra he can change it into any weapon he chooses, and it will adapt that item’s physical shape, weight and properties. He can easily put it back, without so much as a thought, just as long as he is holding it. Usually he uses this when he has to protect someone, and changes his shadow into a large shield, but any item no bigger than a cubic foot can be molded into. However, if Akira loses his shadow (i.e. it is dropped then lost), then he cannot use any of his other techniques until he is reunited with his shadow.
(NEW SKILL) Shadow Strength Technique: Developed over the last year, Akira has mixed together his shadow mould and walk techniques into a new technique, entirely for Taijutsu. Instead of going into his shadow, his shadow crawls up himself, and can be focused into any one point in his body, if not all. The shadows coil their way around Akira’s skin, and can enhance each set of muscles to work beyond their limits. Akira distributes the shadow across his body, giving him 5x his strength and speed, as well as making his muscles more enduring to damage. Though far from equalling the taijutsu mastery of Jounin Gai, he becomes much more a formitable enemy. However, whilst in use, Akira cannot perform complex Genjutsu, nor any of his Shadow imitation techniques and becomes a good Taijutsu fighter (pretty much in Heath and Tai are level 8, while his Gen and Nin becomes level 2). Not only this, but the use of this Technique eats away at Akira’s Chakra quickly, and can’t be held for long. Even afterwards, Akira must be hospitalized for weeks in order to recover.
(skill) A master of Genjutsu- Like all Genjutsu users, Akira traps his opponent in an illusion by getting close to them (about 10m away) while holding a seal. To the enemy’s eyes, Akira disappears, when in truth all his/her senses are being manipulated. Once caught, the opponent first must realize that this is a Genjutsu and attempt to dispel it, or else they are fully exposed to any real, physical attack. However, Akira has master Genjutsu to the point where he has “special conditions” that make his stronger or weaker. When out in the open, Akira must get the opponent within 10m to trap him. Then, once the opponent is held, if Akira holds the seal, only another with either a higher chakra control or Genjutsu (either stat at 5) can dispel it, but Akira is rendered immobile, and if he breaks focus, so ends the illusion. This can also be dispelled if some one with chakra control or genjutsu skill of 8 or greater comes and dispels it from the outside. If he only puts them into a weak genjutsu, then anyone with chakra control or genjutsu skill 4 or above can easily dispel it, though Akira can move around and use Taijutsu (no ninjutsu, or the illusion is broken) against the captured person.
Better conditions for Akira come with shadows, but only if he stands in them. By using the shadows around him, he can do one of the two. 1) If he stands in the shadow, which his opponent stands in, or is link to by other shadows, then Akira no longer needs the 10m rule, and can capture his opponent without even having to see them. After that, then the rules above apply, Or 2) getting within 10m of the opponent, and after capturing his opponent, he can use his ninjutsu (his shadow imitation) as well, and only he needs to be in the shadows. However, if he does use ninjutsu, then it counts as a weak genjutsu, that can be dispelled as stated above.
The only time Akira can no use Genjutsu at all, is when it literally is pitch black (not a single source of light) for his shadow disappears, as does all his power in genjutsu and ninjutsu. But with a single, bright source of light, Akira gets stronger, as his shadow reaches further, and is bolder.
Equipment: None needed, nor can be carried with Shadow Meld Technique
Background: Akira had started his life very much identical to every single other child in his clan. Being raised by a lazy father, and an over-bearing mother, who would constantly be getting the father and himself to do their work, and to try and be a presentable family. His father was a spy specialised jounin, as was his mother, and he was being brought up taught how to use his shadow by the both of them (more his mother than his father). He wasn’t very much different from his father, or any other Nara, until he turned 11. His father and mother were assigned on the same mission A-ranked mission, and were sent deep behind enemy lines. The mission was a success, but Akira’s mother was killed in action, during the escape. That’s when Akira finally realized how much his mother’s constant anger and energy made his home feel so much warmer. He grew more and more quite, spending more and more time alone to think about what he had lost, while his father spiraled into depression. This did make Akira’s father train Akira more, but both felt so empty without their caller of fury. When Akira graduated from the academy, his father had already taught him everything he knew, and had stopped doing missions all together, now spending his time tending the deer, making medicine and lonely drinking at the bar, but never allowing himself to get drunk. Specialising and training in infiltration, ambushing, illusions and spying, but still he easily passed the Chunin exams and recently raise himself to the level of Jounin. Having never been in a relationship with anyone, and never really communicating with his first batch of genin (which only took two years to become Chunins), Akira is ready to take a new team and teach them that the mind is more powerful than the muscle.
Over the Last Year – After the battle with the Demon Brothers, Akira returned with everyone, and continued their training, with minor missions throughout, for six months. Over those months, Akira learnt designs his new techniques, and found that his genins were getting stronger surprisingly quickly, spending his time training his Genins, developing his techniques, or watching Akemi (sometimes with Joshin) train in plain sight, though he usually made it appear as if he were napping. However, he still feared for their mental stability, as it was clear that Haka still lusted for Strangt’s blood, and Erimaki has still his Vendetta.
However, something puzzled Akira about the situation which didn’t seem right. After making a special request to the Hokage, Akira ventured for the next six months to try and find out as much as he could about Tsuin Kaarin. He left his team a letter, telling them he would be out of contact for “some time” and that they should continue training until his return (he especially asked the Hokage to post several Chunnins to watch over his team from afar) and that he was simply doing a convert mission. He is now due to return any day, with what information he has.
