hey Everyone I only started seriously drawing about 3 months ago and I was just wondering what other people thought about my progress. Most of the pictures I've drawn are in my sketchbook which is a 5 1/2" x8" sketch book so bear with me if you see some really small thing that are off.(the fact that I can barely see what I'm drawing is even a surprise to me heh.

Anyway here are some for you to see....

Travis

that's about 2 months or so ago and it was a fanart of Travis from Snafu (hope Dave likes it xP)
I used photoshop cs2 (with a mouse heh) and a .7 mm lead pencil to draw the outline.

Random

Random doodling.... A little of this, a splash of that and out comes something unexpected!!! made it about 1 month and a half ago.

used a .7mm led pencil to draw the damn thing >:D

Tom Thumb

I was looking at Endling's deviantart page and I saw Thomb thumb's earlier concept art and I liked it.... this is what happens when you have art on your mind all the time...

.7mm pencil and some bandages to patch up the scar of not being creative enough xP

Arlen and Arcan

Something I created after being obsess with Endling's earlier style of drawing..

Pretty good how Arlen came out but I don't like the other one since his eyes came out wrong and his reminds me too much of my little brother...

.7 mm pencil and gummy eraser!! YAY!!

Warrior

I kinda liked this one and I don't know why or how but it actually came out great even though you can still see the mark where I erased an image from before.

ehh I hated the shoulders since it doesn't look right and I hate his face and shading. I kinda rushed it a little because the details were too small to shade and I just wanted it to be over. Heck I just wanted to scrap it but I have to keep it to check my progress so there it is..

Arcernite

Something I made for Endling's create your own creature contest and well there it is. I liked how it turned out but the background needs some more work to even make it look realistic.

.7mm pencil, 6 shading pencil and the gum eraser(mm.... gum... )

Agent

Something I liked but didn't really see it as even good for me. The right arm is wrong and there is no background!! The face, hair and armor turned out pretty good though so it seemed decent I guess...

Anyway that's it for now!! I'll post some more pictures later (once I finished them) and I hope you guys like them all. Oh yea I'm probably going to start doing colored picture soon enough when I get my tablet from Newegg so expect them to come soon enough.

NOTE: these pictures were made in school during free time so if they look like they got cut off and then comes back as darker or lighter then it's probably because I stopped so my teacher wouldn't take away my sketchbook xP.

EDIT: Oh yea I forgot to mention that the only reason that I don't just post a link to my deviant gallery is that I want a different opinion here and that I feel that some of the work in my deviantart site isn't very good at all and I rather not waste my time telling everyone what to criticize and what not to xp

heh I know I tend to do things like this. I get obsess with something and I get really good and quit when I get bored. Weird cycle really but I do it a lot for some reason. heh

Well I officially started really drawing in the begining of the school year I basically absorb everything I was taught in art class I basically regergitate it and make something off it. Anyone can be good at something if you remember everything your suppose to do.

yea I had a few of those before myself just not in drawing but in work that use to enjoy but now I do it because I have to....Boring!

Added after 9 hours 25 minutes:


Well i decided that my next picture might take a little longer then I thought so here's a picture of what you might see. I did this when I could figure out a background for it and I had to sketch one on a different piece of paper in case I mess up and the closest I could find was line paper.

This is suppose to be from final fantasy with the airships and guess what? One crashed and the 'enemy' is now trying to take out any survivors they find. It's just a background so you won't see anything that might look like a character heh.

The Last Stand



[He carefully draws a line in the grass and dares you to step over... Do you dare risk fighting the last of the crew or do you run away in fear? There are no guaranty that you will survive and more then enough chances that you will die. The petals of the Black Forient flies by marking the end of one life and the start of another but whose life will end and who's will begin?]

I really like the shading on this picture since I think it's the best shading picture yet. It's a picture of the last warrior of the Airship DC from final fantasy defending himself from the enemy trying to kill any survivors in the crash.

I drew the guy first and it never really had a background so I had to draw it in from my preview picture. I hope you guys like it since it took a little long but it seemed like it was worth it.

6 shading pencils
Photoshop (to clean it up a little bit)

Thanks I was going to shade the grass too but I didn't have any lighter shading pencil so I just didn't do it. might have looked better if I did.

I essentially did that since I was fixing his arm and I just drew a shield instead. I drew it small so it wouldn't block his armor because hey i like armor!! xP
