Chapter 16
“The fire”
Boom!
The missile exploded in the air. Bubbles and Bell stared at the scene, and
then in the air formed a portal. Balrog began to step out. Bell stared at
Balrog, her father had told her of a monster which lived inside earth’s
core. She had only thought of it as a fairytale, but there he stood like an
idol of terror.
<<< Finally … I was getting bored >>> the monster yelled, with his piercing voice.
Bubbles grabbed Bell and told her with a commanding voice:
“This has gotten past us, but I have an idea. Follow me”
She flew towards the school and for some time Bell just stared at Balrog
and the monster talk to each other, then she flew after Bubbles.
This has gotten out of hand, oh daddy where are you? Bell thought
They opened the school door, nobody was inside. Everyone had fled
already. The once full of life entrance corridor was now like a ghost zone,
books and papers lay on the floor and the wind (which came when they
opened the door) blew the papers around. Many lockers were open and
tables were turned. Bubbles ran around, not knowing for sure where she
was going and Bell just followed her.
This actually looks like a fun place.
Bell though as they passed many rooms, inside every room was different
posters on the walls, the color scheme was different and the blackboard
had many different things written on it.
If I would have had a normal life, then I would have enjoyed being a student here.
Bell couldn’t stop thinking about it. The idea of normal life had always
been in her mind. Friends, fun, studying, school and …
…Love
This though reminded Bell of Mandark. She became really sad and
stopped thinking about having a normal life. She was made for the
purpose helping her father take over earth and she knew he didn’t love
her that way, but that was wrong. Dr.X always had loved her like a
normal daughter, but he had gotten too passionate of ruling earth and that
made him forget the most important thing that his daughter needed.
Bubbles suddenly stopped and that made Bell bump into her. They fell on
the ground with a loud bump noise.
“I’m sorry” Bell quickly said and stood up, quite embarrassed.
“It’s ok, I always forgive my friends” Bubbles smiled and stood up.
Did she just call me … her friend?
“Are you alright?” Bubbles asked.
“I’m fine, thank you” Bell replied with a sobbing voice and rubbed her eye.
“I just have something in my eye” she continued, not wanting her new
and only human friend to think she was a crybaby.
Bubbles smiled and opened up the door she had stopped by. A sign on the
door said simply “GYM”. They went inside and walked along the corridor.
After few seconds Bubbles entered another room. There was a picture of
a girl on the door. When inside Bell saw for the first time how a women
locker room looks like. There where showers, lockers, benches, mirrors
and everything she had read about (Dr.X gave her a teenager book once
to practice reading).
Bubbles flew to one locker and opened it up, inside were lot of stuff.
Bubbles took out a school uniform, an exact copy of her own and handed
it to Bell.
“For me?” Bell asked surprised.
“Of course, we can’t have you fighting in your underwear” Bubbles giggled.
Bell blushed a little; her white dress was so light that she often forgot that
she was wearing it. Bell thanked Bubbles and dressed. The uniform was a
perfect match. That is because they are both powerpuffs in a way, so
naturally they are pretty much alike.
Bubbles told Bell to follow her once again. They flew once more, now a
little faster. The air had begun to form a thick black smoke. Then finally
they were at one of the largest room in the school, the library.
“What … are we doing here?” Bell asked.
“I’m using Dexter’s secret laboratory”
Bell became sad again, the name Dexter reminded her of Mandark.
“It isn’t much of a secret if you know about it” Bell whispered with a
saddened tone, Bubbles was too busy looking for the right book to notice
her tone.
“Well after Tina saved my life…”
Tina saved … your life? Bell though in suprise.
“… I became much smarter for some reasons, I should have died but I
didn’t thanks to her”
“What did she …” Bell began but stopped when lava suddenly ate itself
through the roof and hit a book shelf, making all the books light up in fire.
Bubbles stared at the fire and then began to search faster.
