How often can you change perspectives, between who, like can it only be between the main characters (Or ones you've been changing between so far) or can it be between others for the purposes of convenience. Anyone able to help me out?

Hmm. My epic guide didn't have anything on it.

I'm not aware of and I can't find anything that says there is a limit or that it can only occur with main characters. In Halo: the Fall of Reach, there is a chapter told from the point of view of a Sargent or something, and then he is briefly referred to once later on and that's it.

I guess its just really a matter of opinion on doing it. I think its a useful technique to give the reader a larger understanding of what is going on, but I also think that you can abuse it and drag your story down. you can change the perspective as much as you want, but the more you do it, the greater the chance you have of loosing your readers.

Please excuse the double post. I wanted everyone to see this

Someone just told me November was National Novel Writing Month or NaNoWrMo. So, I laughed, thought it was cool, and wanted to post this. Perhaps even get some goal setting for the month on our literature works.

I've wanted to do this for two years, but I always find myself really busy in November

Guess I've got a reason to try to push KC forward a little faster for a while.

I've made three writing goals for myself; update Legions, and get two new stories posted.

You got a time limit on that, or are you gonna hold out for a year again before posting?

Yay, someone's talking about NaNo! I'm participating this year, it's my first time :)

As in, the month of November, these goals will be complete. They are goals for the month of November.

I'll attempt, but I have 3 papers that need to be done before I move to my extremely backed up writing schedule >.>

Haaa, writing schedule. I guess that's something I should maybe try. Forcing yourself to write is supposed to be good, right? I usually just tend to write when the mood hits me, whenever that happens to be. Sometimes there's a long interval

I usually try to get a minimal amount, whether it be recreational or mandatory.

When I was forced to write within certain parameters, not so much with a binding time limit, I did have to try a few new things with my writing. Whether or not it turned out good is kinda of beside the point I'm trying to make. I now have experience with the word limits and themes, so I think putting ANY challenges on yourself is good practice, experience is a great thing to have.

I say go for whatever limits you set yourself to.

Given the occasion, I'm gonna try to move a bit faster this month. Hopefully I'll have something this weekend.

Hmm. You're right, November is that month. I've been really sluggish because the tournament took a lot of physical stamina out of me so I've only submitted 2 parts this month. I think I can increase that by 500%. (Edit: As soon as the writer's block clears that is.)

Anyone else doing any hard writing this month?

Term paper due this Friday. After that, I'm going to try and write for 3 different projects, totaling 5 updates. I'll either be sad I didn't make it, or sleep deprived.

The Snafu forums started to make me think more when I read :3
I read "Please Don't Take My Air Jordans" today.
I got way too philosophical with the victim in the poem.

For the most part anyways.

Don't let this place spoil you to the rest of the internet.

Anywhere and Everywhere, there are people who love nothing more than to have high and mighty opinions about things they know nothing about, and of course the louder they are the more other likeminded uninformed people flock to them and begin to parrot.

While I have learned a LOT of lessons from this site, none of them have been about winning internet arguments.
