The literature forum is for the discussion of literature(fanfic, original(forumites), or original lit) and posting of literature(original or fanfic stories based on Snafu hosted media and other material).

Flaming is not allowed. Constructive criticism is. If you do not want your works critiqued, then do not post them.

All threads will begin Poster's Name, Title of Work, Rating, Fanfic or Orig. I.e.,
Cole: Haven Of The Dead: NC-17: Original work: Chapter 5 up.

For those with idiotically long names, using the diminutive most used or a contraction--i.e., ~Gaara's Little Angel~ as GLA--is preferrable for space reasons.

Only works up to R will be allowed. NC-17 level stories(gratuitous sex scenes and violence beyond required/disturbing) will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis, though most will be most likely deleted immediately unless really, really well written. Please flag these stories by sending me a PM or IM with a link to said thread and subject: Flagged for content.

Summaries will be ridiculed.
(I.e., posting a fifty word paragraph that summarizes an event and then calling it a story is just fucking asinine, you sodding wankers.)

Images are only to be included in your works as illustrations, and should be relevant. If they are works you have created, and you wish them to be evaluated as anything but an illustration, they should be put in the art forum. If they are NOT works you have created, they must be credited. Images that you only wish to discuss or admire should be posted in the Post your art thread. Rewritten by Spike.

Signature and avatar size will be enforced. When reading a story, signatures and avatars can distract greatly.

You may use any format for a story--Script or an actually readable story. A well written, non-script story is preferable, though. A Script based story just gives you what people are saying. A well written normal expressive story conveys so much more.

New rules and updates will be added when necessary or whenever I or Griddles feel the need to add one.

Characters, whether original or 'borrowed' from established works, are free to be used as another person sees fit in their own stories as long as originator of character is credited. If you do not wish your characters used, then add an adendum to any story containing a character(specifying character's name/s) you do not wish used. Complaining about non-tagged characters will result in much ridicule and me NetSend Spamming you for one hour a day for one week.

Avatars should be under 5KB. Animated around 20KB. 150 X 150px is the largest size allowed.
Signature images will be no larger than 468x60px and under 50KB.

THE REPORT BUTTON
If there is a BOT (it's usually obvious; they usually post ads for websites that are clearly of a spamming nature), hit the report button instead of replying to the thread.
If Skorri, Katz, CarrionMan, or anyone else on the auto ban list comes back into the forum, DO NOT REPLY to their posts. AT ALL. Simply hit the report button so a mod will deal with it.
The report button is located near the edit and quote buttons. Click the button next to the post/thread you want to report, and you will be taken to a page much like a PM or reply page. Type in a comment, and submit the report.
Reports are filed via thread, post, and profile. So you can also report individual people in the forum through the same method.
To report a person, click on the profile button below their avatar. Near the bottom of the page, under contact management, is a "Report User" link. Click it, type in a comment as before, and submit.
