Ah, are we doing it like that?
Because I thought we were going to do it like the Art contest, where we give suggestions first, and then wait for a poll to be created before voting on which suggestion we want the most.

Holy crap-for-crap, guys...That's a helluva lot of suggestions. In the future, let's keep it to, like, one or two per person.

For the time being, though, I guess you guys will get three votes each, otherwise I think we'll have a many-ways tie of things with 1 vote, since there are FIFTY-THREE suggestions.

lol, at least you guys like the contest!

Results will be up later today. Awards have been chosen already. I'm just working on the critiques now.

Vote, vote, vote!

3 votes each, no changing votes. Poll ends Monday. This thread will be merged with the other thread after results have been posted, to reduce the likelihood of me completely fucking up the poll.

Yay, I got second! That is more than I had expected. :D

Also I am curious as to what word choices you had difficulty with, Hana.
I'm very familiar with UK English, so I just write using the words and terms I'm familiar with. Sometimes it's hard to work out what other people would have trouble understanding. So if you could point out a few examples to me on what confused you, that would be a great help to me for future writing.
And I'll try and take your other criticism on board too. :)

Congratulations to Sam and Iris too!
And well done to everyone, I had fun reading other people's works.

Grats to those who got places, and extra grats to BR for honorable mention!

Fear and Wandering are winning... Looks like I'm writing an Ory story.

I hope I didn't have to be in the first round to join in one the second. I'd like to give this a go.

It's not so much confusion, but a difference in the natural speech patterns. The example that stands out most in my mind is "smelt". By denotation, it's perfectly acceptable, but it's more of a British or historic usage. First thing that immediately came to mind when I read it was smelting iron. I just had to do a double-take is all. It's not so much problematic as different. It's something I find interesting.

Couch>> Oh, please do enter as much and as often as you like! ^_^
