However?

As in...A wolverine is a type of animal, not just a superhero type of interpretation?

Wham! Got this one in early so I won't have to worry so much this week (I lost sleep over not having an entry in until the deadline....)

http://www.deviantart.com/view/20429386/

I've always wondered what it was like for him as a kid, having gigantic ass claws coming out of his wrists like that.

This is my idea of his reaction the first time it happened.

I have an idea for a cartoon for this one, but I HIGHLY doubt I can finish it in a week. I may actually try, though...

:edit: Bugger! I always forget this part! Suggestion for next week: ....I'm going to stick with the "Evil Twin" idea. Or, also appropriate would be "Draw the 'good twin' of a villain"

Fucking moron. Cartoons are not canon. They always change shit to make it more kid friendly because they assume assholes like you are watching it.

When he was a kid, he had his healing power, and these "bone-claws". Obviously, they couldn't have just put metal claws on him, there had to be some base for it. there's a six-part story about what happened when logan was a kid, all stuff he doesn't remember

Never trust things based off of other things today. Because that's what X-men is, it's BASED off of the comic, and BASED means major elements taken from the comics. They aren't exactly alike. And the comics of X-men and superman and etc...etc...etc...are all where the superheroes and stuff originally came from.

Wolverine was born with bone claws, but they didn't first come out until after Logan's father was killed. He then used his claws in a blind rage and slaughtered the guy who killed his dad. After that, he took his girlfriend and ran away. After a long time, memory loss, and over thirty years, Logan was picked up by the Weapon X folks. He and some others were put through experiments to bond adamantium, a nearly indestructable metal, into their skeletal systems. Sabertooth and Wolverine were the main subjects used because of their healing powers and animal-like combat abilities. Because Logan's claws came from his bones, they too became covered in the metal. So, though the claws weren't always metal, they are a part of his powers. (Go here, put the cursor over W-Z, then click Wolverine. Then just click history for the full story.)

It had its own story.

My cartoon was a more (MUCH more) modern version of that...basically, keeping the sickly child idea from the Origins series, but putting him in current day, getting bullied at school...the anger from THAT triggered it (a BIT less dramatic than the death of his father...but...well...ya know....)

And....uhh...go me, for starting such a lively debate?

Added after 37 seconds:

Oh, and, yeah, I made his claws adamantium there, just because I originally made them bone and I just didn't like the way they looked. Artistic license and all that.

Please don't ever use a MOVIE as a definitive example. Unless the movie came FIRST.

2D change your avatar it's huge and annoying. I love Mega Man as much as the next but seriously dude the file size is huge.

And Kench it's not much of a debate it's basically retards who think X-men began and ended with the movies and cartoon series VS people who aren't mentaly handicaped.

For instance people have linked at least 3 sources directly to ORIGIN you know the ORIGIN of wolverine comics and 2D still have the mind blowing idiocy to ask "how do you know that" I swear he can't actually read and is just randomly smashing buttons on his keyboard that by some bizare coincidence resemble sentences.
