Pssh, yeah, I mean, I could have made a really cool looking chick TOO, but I figured...you know....that would be...

...umm...

....something.....?

That's bad ass, though, Flux. Goes to show how great pictures made in real life can be, versus ones created completely digitally.

Hahaha, thanks dude. But don't forget your submissions were probably 1/3 of the picture's influence.

But this is almost the first picture I've ever made using markers, and I don't plan on using markers that often. Would you believe that that shitty shade of tan brown is the lightest flesh tone in my pack of markers?

Pentel markers suck, and I wish I had 100 bucks for a set of copics...

Damn, Flux.
Great job, I actually like the way you colored her.
I like her clothing, good job.

Ew I was gonna post "hey I'm back from my vacation so your abusing of rule-time is OVER" but Tadpole just submitted that kind of post so I can't now.

Tadpole, if you don't get it from the rules, I'm not sure I can help you. You're familiar with what a mascot is, yes? You're familiar with the art forum, yes? We need a mascot for the art forum.

I like what I see so far, but I'm not seein' nearly enough of it. GIT DRAWING I want enough to put this up to a vote!!

They don't have to be girls... but male mascots + 90 percent of internet is boys = not as effective.

And yes. My markers are CRAP. But i just bought some greyscale prismacolors and those ROCK OUT!

its only 61% male and 22% female. The rst being unidentified.

Dammit, Flux. I'd like to take this opportunity to say that my lineart, which involves a girl with Snafu goggles, was drawn last weekend before I ever saw yours. I swear.

Assuming I get my picture up before the deadline. I won't be able to color it untill Thursday, and I'll have to do it on my granddad's computer with no mouse (annoying touchpad). So it may take too long, unless I spend an entire day on it. Give me strength to resist my PS2.

Long's you get the entries in!

And I'm sorry I took everyone's ideas. So take my ideas to get even with me. The more idea stealing we do with each other, and mutual agreement, regardless of the winner, the better my plan will work.

Mascot design is like compound interest.

Mine is totally off the wall different, I have to colour it yet but I like the inks. :) Don't forget names, guys, I haven't been checking but they don't qualify without names. I find random scrabble pieces or browsing namebaby.com helps.

No kidding, when did *you* become female on this board...? 0_o

The mascot doesn't have to be female at all... just in my experience mascots not based on iconic forms (like an animal, an amorphous shape or a logo) tend to be female :O

Actually, my primary hope for this mascot, whomever she turns out to be, is a general thievery of ideas between people. Since that means more of everyone gets into the mix of the final product. It's evolution baby!

And correct me if I'm wrong, but it sure feels right to give her the homobot goggles.

That's awesome!

Wot that's interesting, because usually all the mascots I come across have no particular gender whatsoever 0_o

Genderless things are for all intents and purposes male. The Wal-Mart happy face is male. Animals with no gender-specific characterstics I consider male.

It would be so much cooler non-gender-specific things were hermorphadites. I'm going to make a non-dender-specific mascot >_o argh!
