Not the game system.

Im curious if anyone ahs any experience with PaintShop Pro, specifically 7 or higher. I have seen some REALLY cool llooikng pictures amde in it, and some effects i just cant seem to render in Photoshop. So yeah, im curious if anyone has any thoughts on it. Or opinions on it compared to other programs.

Sorry if this is the wrong place, just seems appropriate.

It's a stripped down photoshop. Similar, but not identical. A lot of people use it because you can buy full version for bout $150, compared to the sticker-shock price of Photoshop for $700. So for entry-level industry folk, it seems pretty attractive. As far as I know, the only thing it has that photoshop doesn't is the "image brush" ...? Or something, that automatically copies pictures from a set with a brush stroke.

I dono, I've never really been inclined to try it when I already know photoshop and photoshop offers more flexibility and efficient design.

I have Paint Shop Pro 8. I like it, but I don't want to go through all the learning so I use the obviously simple and standard pad: Paint. I was just wondering... Cali, did you choose the name PSP so people would look at the thread?

...LOL...

Bleh it has some stuff PS doesn't but none are really worthwhile. Anything PSP can do, PS can do better.

Yeah, the image brush that it stole from Microsoft Image Composer.

That shit is hardcore, though, it works really well. But nothing you can't do with a little overlaying and erasing in PS.

Yeah, it's been known as "PSP" for at *LEAST* six years.
