a.) So far I like the place. I was kind of finding myself not going to this forum anymore, but now I go alot and pretty much live here in the art forum. Awesome idea to revive some parts of it.
b.) I think all artist/writers/etc should get 1 thread for each type of work. So if you Draw AND you write, one drawing thread and one artist thread,
c.) I kinda like the ideas of making a universal thread for weekly contests (and only have one OFFICIAL contest at any set time), a sketch thread, and a thread for just mods or something to point out what THEY think is awesome. I would say a thread to point out your own work when YOU think its awesome...but some people are self concious of their work, and some think everything they do is gold...it would be kind of nice to see something like DA's thing where the mods put up 4-5 pieces a day and go explain WHY they thought it was the whole kit and kaboodle.

I can see what you mean, 1 drawing thread 1 writing thread (etc) per artist, but again, such mechanisms can only be used by responsible indivudals >_<; It could work as a tacit allowance. Like... you can do it if you're not retarded about it.

It might be handy to have a "CONTESTS THIS WEEK" announcement in the weekly drawing challenge thread.

A mod's choice would be nice, but not until there's too much stock for people to keep track of on their own (c'mon, lazy bones!) Also, most of the Daily Devs I don't agree with, so there would be "why wasn't MY fairy soul photo chosen???" angst.

The thread where people put their OWN "I'm proud of it!" stuff I've thought of, and I like the idea. It'd be kind of like how "Post your Art" is now, and in fact we might just keep it for that

I'm reviving this thread because THAT'S MY PREROGATIVE

I shall do this when I make changes to the forum or need opinions on forum operations. Y'know, 'cause déjà-vu is when there's a change in the matrix.

1) I'm making an advanced crit thread because I've seen people asking for crits. This'll just be a place where HONESTY will rule.

2) I'm stickying "Post Your Art" and leaving that as an alternative to posting your art in a personal thread. I would still prefer that people not make random threads for individual pieces.

3) I'm moving "random flash movies" back to Bleedman, because it is kind of universal to people and not really about "art" so much. Feel free to still post flashes in the "post art that's not YOURS" thread if you find one that you find particularly artistic.

I have a lot of ideas for the future, but I think change should be slow, progressive and constant. I'm always open to ideas, too, but remember that I might not do things right away, because nobody has time for 50 jillion contests and activities XD
