Ugh... I really don't like this but at least it's finished. Funny... I wonder if Victor Frankenstein was thinking something similar at this exact moment.

I dunno man. I'd say he looks kind of fearful and is regretting what he has done.

Your crosshatching skills pretty good. Like where you utilize them.

I used to use crosshatching allot a few years ago because I wasn't very good at colouring. If I had known about custom brushes back then I could have saved myself so many hours.

I don't know why you're calling this a blunder Ari-6. It's a big success in my opinion. Like sure the Frankenstien's collar bone and right eye has been distorted. But seriously, that looks like a freakin' construct alright with how you've taped the flesh and my lord that chest... Not only does it make me wonder if I should just become a homosexual... I should just get into other stuff as well... Putting your mind off that anyways the mouth looks so-so stitched on and it's fabulous and those freakin' eyes, just beautiful. The colouring as well is unique and different to what you normally do.
As for Victor himself, great foreshadow and facial expression and the detail of the lab is great with blazing effects.

Though things you could work on is especially the monster's hair. Sorry but it looks like he has tree bark taped to his head. I don't exactly know what you were trying to do, but what it's telling me is that you need to think about studying, geck (Studying is boring in art) hair. This also includes the eyebrows where he looks like he has stickers taped to his forehead then proper, well, hairy eyebrows.

But again, fantastic. Though to note I don't appreciate the detail... What? I'm just not into detailed art?

The art's quite modest, but I'm told the story's fun.

Hey, thanks allot. I called it Frankenstein's Blunder not because I wasn't happy with it but because that is what happened in the story. Yeah I would agree about the hair. I am still not very good at hair at the moment. And I knew I wasn't going to have much time on this so I just went familiar. Thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it.

Ah, makes sense then, but wouldn't say that you aren't very good at hair.

Always a great thing for me to help people though.

Why did you have to go and dig up a gross thing like that?

Anyway, yet something else I have completed for my final assessment. Can not wait for it to be over. Image

Anyway, good piece, Ari. Nice bit of Spring/Summer art.

One of my favorite things ever is people seeing how they can screw around with the Red Riding Hood story. It my favorite Grimm tale and I like seeing things that just mess around with the lore.

It is my favourite too. But I have had Red Riding Hood projects twice in the past and I always try to do something dark and serious so this time I decided, because the stakes were so low, that I would see how much fun I could have with it. Spoilers: It turns out that her Grandma is actually a notorious crime boss!

So I finally get round to doing this. Sorry for not uploading it sooner but end of year stuff was pretty chaotic. I drew the first one and decided I didn't like it and also the paper was pretty crappy and the ink bled like crazy so I drew a better one.

I've had IZ on the brain lately so I thought I would sketch a couple of the characters. I was more concerned about cool posses but if I do any more I will think about personalities.

Re: ari-6 Art Thread. IZ Fanart

Postby Thy Obsessive Freak » Mon Jul 21, 2014 10:39 am

Glad to see you contribute your art again. Izz's hair is certainly radical and nice work on the clothes, I think the pose though it a bit stiff however if you don't mind me sayin. I think you needed a bit more life into the legs maybe, it's my opinion anyways. As for gaz, her hair is also wicked and admire the abdomen detail. Though I think her right arm maybe far too long and her eyes too big.

It's really well done though overall.

Work is scaringly a lot more detailed here. Also like the head structures for these ones and the clothes designs. Though noticed that the toes on Bubblegum princess are a bit unrealistically fanned, like the tiny toe on the left foot could be position in more better. Also appreciate how you've done the cyborg arm with the guy wielding the sword, it's pretty cool.

It might just be because I have these characters on the brain because of a picture I'm drawing right now, but that kind of looks like Luna and Celestia right there.
Regardless I love the way you drew their weapons

Luna and Celestia you say? Good guess! I was working on this a while ago and then had to put it down. I hope I will be able to finish it one day.

Yeah, was supposed to be an alien hand

Nice Sakura Card Captor design, if that's what you were going for. Takes me back. My favorite were "The Light" and "The Dark" cards, "The Dream" card also being one of my favorites. I am almost infatuated with the folding of the clothing and the weapons. It's beautiful and I can't help but keep on looking at it.

Thanks. And yeah, I can't remember what my favourite card was, maybe Watery. I did love that anime though. I remember how much I loved the first movie.
