I like how you drew Zoey in that last one, you pulled off her face really well :0. Also red glowy eyes are super cool
Is half of Lina's face supposed to be in shadow? It's kind of weird that you used black for that shadow when the rest of her face doesn't :x

I must say, a nice pairing and interesting concept. Also the DA link you posted doesn't work.

Edit: DA link works now, thanks!

Mad, this last piece of yours is fantastic. The shadowing is excellent. Some work is needed with clothing folds, but its still great to look at. Especially Zoey and looking at their first appearance.

Haven't had much time to update because of computer problems, but I got a little something I've been working on in my spare time now.

Title:
Godzilla: The Day A New King Was Born
--
So, I made a big ass Godzilla comic. I made it in black and white and I tried out some different things with shading and stuff. This isn't the new movie version of Godzilla, its mainly his old school origin where he was an unknown Dinosaur hanging out in the ocean when the bomb went off and turned him into Godzilla proper. I didn't want to show too much of what he might have been before the atomic explosion mutated him so I kept a lot of stuff in the shadows as much as possible until the last few panels where he makes his appearance.

Not bad, not bad at all. It's an interesting take on Godzilla's origins.

Oooh this looks really nice Mad-Mutt.
When your comp issues are resolved, will you be continuing this? Or will it be a one-shot?

Mutt, this is really wow. Probably the most professional looking thing I have seen you do. You have really come far recently, especially your own style. The panel with Godjira?/Godzilla? Standing in the bay looks really impressive! But watch out when you enlarge parts of an image like that. The image gets pretty pixelated but there are a couple of quick fixes to take care of that in future.

@ULTRADJ:

Thanks.

@Cerulean:

Probably not. I may do some other one shot comics with Godzilla in future because I like drawing Godzilla stuff, but I don't know.

@Ari-6:

Thanks Ari, coming from you that means a lot.

Wow, your passion for Godzilla really pays off Mad-Mutt. While characters also look great, I think you could work on studying water more in my opinion, regardless that backgrounds aren't all that important as all you want to see is action, characters and dialogue in a comic like this, I think improving on little things like that just a bit would help a lot.
Anyone want ta take look at my own comic?

The art's quite modest, but I'm told the story's fun.

Thanks dude.

@Freak:

Yeah, I want to work on that stuff as well, part of the reason I did this comic is because I wanted to practice stuff like that more. Thanks for the comment, as ya'll may have notice I do in fact happen to be a bit of a Godzilla fan.

A long time ago I drew this as my first Godzilla related drawing I uploaded to DA: http://mad-mutt.deviantart.com/art/Godz ... -419927231
This is kind of a sequel to that picture and I wanted to do a better version of that Godzilla design from back then.

Whoopass Girls: Just One of Those Days

Whatever Mojo did this time, it obviously made the girls pretty mad. Might have something to do with all those scars and that black eye Bubbles is sporting. I was going to draw Mojo sitting in the chamber of his big broken machine screaming as well, but I decided to go with a different expression because I thought it make the image a bit more amusing.

Another drawing of Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup as teenagers under the Whoop Ass Girls personas. Whoop Ass Girls being the original concept for the characters that I decided to draw some stuff as for fun and because I was curious on what it would be like if I tried it out.

How did I miss this?! That is a pretty funny premise you have there. "Yep, just same old, same old....". I thought it would be cool to see more of the mech

Jester, that website you linked is really useful. It is a great way to get good practice in quickly and I can't say how much I like not having to stand in the same room as the naked man. Added to bookmarks.

Title: Raven and Beast Boy (as a cat)
--
A while ago I drew this little thing: http://mad-mutt.deviantart.com/art/Rave ... -410147911
I felt like I wanted to do a better version of that drawing so here we are. Even though this is closer to her design from the TV show, I gave Raven the black hair color from the original comics. I gave the two of them a more interesting pose and a more interesting (but kind of similar) background.

Looking at the two together there is a definite improvement. How long ago did you raw the first one?

Just a word of advice about cloaks and other flowing material. Creases in the clothe only happen in place where there is tension such as at joints at joints. The cloak is flowing so that means there is no tension which means there doesn't need to be any creases.

The free-flowing cape also will not conform to the form of the breasts, unless it is some crazy strong wind. Same goes for clothes.

Image

Just little things to keep in mind.

Also, the first and most important thing in anatomy, in my opinion, is proportions. Check some art anatomy proportion chart and pictures of real women, then you can see Raven's legs are too long comparing to her body. Of course there are times when you want abnormal proportions for abnormal characters, but I think Raven is just a normal-looking person, so she should have a more or less normal proportions. Same goes for the thigh width: it is the same width as her waist. Even for women with serious hourglass figure, their waist will still look noticeably wider than their thighs.

Probably quicker if I just show you the difference through some poor warping job.

@ Ari-6 and Grieffon:

Thanks guy, legs being too long seems to be the new "thing I need to work on" now, along with all the other things I need to work on as well. I was going for the kind of idealized looks that some DC character have with that last one, but like you guys said, I messed up on things like too long legs.

Thanks again for the pointers, now hopefully I'll have the right frame of mind to look out for things like that when I draw again.
