It's magical when a new simple cartoon can give you lots of inspirations coming from nowhere. I am just on fire now after two months away from doing any doodles. Gah! Wanna do more doodles of Wander with Rarity and Twilight Sparkle yet...
This ugly fellow just went to the theaters yesterday to watch the release of this movie.
And, oh Bills, it was awesome. Fangasms, tears, cheers and nostalgia everywhere and all the way out. Thank you, Diamond Films, by bringing this amazing dubbing to our theaters. It was priceless and amazing.
On 17 of October, I did a tribute to the talented voice-actor Orlando Drummond, who did a 94th birthday two days ago, on 18 of October. In this tribute, I made a short slide-show animation of Starswirl, the Bearded, writing a letter to him to wish a happy birthday. I used my own voice to dictate the letter(not my normal voice, of course). Don't worry; it has subtitles.
Orlando Drummond (born on October 18, 1919 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) is a Brazilian stage, television and film actor, best known for his dubbing works of Seu Peru in the series "Escolinha do Professor Raimundo" and also as the voice of Scooby Doo, Alf, and Popeye. Voice of more than 85 characters(including Dynomutt, Grim, Gargamel), Scooby Doo is his and everyone's favorite. He does Scooby Doo's voice from over 35 years. By that, he almost won a spot on Guinnes Book but he lost it when came to Brazil the new series of Scooby Doo, "Scooby-Doo! Mistery Incorporated", and he didn't participate it.
Attention: I don't know if the animation is available for you guys because of copyrights(from WMG, for using one of "The Lord of the Rings" soundtracks, even with credits) or kind of. So, if you can't watch the video, sorry.
"Today I had gone to a college named UNIFOR(Universidade de Fortaleza, or Fortaleza's University) to participate in a workshop of drawings. We had a little brief of Drawing's History, What Is a Drawing, How To Draw With Objects/Symbols/Guide lines, and so on.
Those ones are sketches I made in the time of 10 minutes. Just really quick sketches, with no intent of perfection(which is really hard because I WANT everything perfect).
In these, there are two sketches of Wander(Wander Over Yonder), Derpy and Fluttershy(MLP [my temporaly teacher recognized it when he saw it. lol]), a little diamont(it was supposed to be one of diamonds from Rarity's cutiemark), Voltorp(Pokemon - G1) and two OCs of mine, Jim White and Roberto Pardo, with a massive upgrade. I should redraw them, just to compare.
And, oh boy, I really loved their pencils. Just by the touch and how you draw with it, it was really good. I loved their pencils so much... that I stole 2 or 3 with different sizes to myself. LOL. It's so wrong but I can't helped! Children, if you are reading this, don't steal from studios. It's wrong. I meant it! Don't follow my deeds!"
Watching a cartoon and fell in love with the animation and the stories, again.
The "Sítio do Picapau Amarelo - Série Animada"(Yellow Woodpecker Farm - Animated Series), created by Montero Lobato from his books series and by Humberto Avelar as director. The animation is really smooth and the design is very attractive. The stories are kinda childish but still funny. I discovered recently that show is called as "Pirlimpimpim" in English. I was like "what?". I don't know about you guys but "Pirlimpimpim", in our culture, is that magical golden powder that makes you fly around with happy thoughts(Peter Pan stories, I guess?). The title "Sítio do Picapau Amarelo" translated to English means "Yellow Woodpecker Farm" and it's a place where all the stories of the series happens. Seriously, "Pirlimpimpim"? What the hell--?
Anyway, here's a sketchie!
This is Emília (Emely or Emilia, to English). She's Lucia LittleNose's rag doll, a present she got from Nastácia. She's able to talk since Lucia mockingly gave her a magic "talking pill" intended to cure Nastácia from a nervous wreck. Likes to play around, making fun and tricks, go to adventures with Pete and Lucia.
Here's a short video that I found on YouTube, where was shown in MIPCOM 2013, with English subtitles. Have fun!
Dude, I agree. Hands are difficult to draw. Yours looks really good though.
