Shame on you.
That other person probably tried their hardest to make their art look good.
You could of even asked him to wait a little bit longer for the trade.
You should always put your best foot forward in a deal like that.

Now if it was for money in would be completely dependent on how much you're gonna get paid.

wait wait wait! in the art trade, the other person drew me something TRADITIONALLY, here
she said i didn't have to do it DIGITALLY but i wanted to, but due to lack of time i couldn't

is my art not reasonable quality in return for her lovely art?

I wouldn't call that lovely.
But I don't care what he or she drew.
It's your job to make the work with your best materials.
Maybe that is the best that person can do.
To each their own.

i like to be generous with my words.
she asked for it traditionally actually, it was my own choice to want to do it digitally, in fact i plan to in the future. i just uploaded it traditional for now so she knows that i have drawn it and haven't forgotten about the trade, im hoping that she'll be pleased with the actual art, whether it be traditional or otherwise
i never said this was the final product.

Image

its a mix between my art and my friend, Juul's, and it was all done with our mouses
since i haven't posted anything for awhile i thought i'd draw this collection of art
the last picture by me didn't get finished because of a bad internet connection so all the work was lost :(
it was done on a Paint Chat website, not too bad for mouse drawn work right? lol

i drew my good friend, Juul's, OC Neon as part of an AT between us
its kinda big so thats why i linked it
i feel like i really prefer drawing traditional than digital, seriously, idk why i just do

i've been drawing alot lately, so i have two more drawings to show! :3
they're both pretty big so i guess i'll link them:
First picture was a request
Second picture is an OC i made for a group

both have to do with Inazuma Eleven, which is an ok anime i guess (not really a huge fan of sports' animes)

Re: Haruhi's Anime Art (Comm. Open)

If the anime has to do about sports wouldn't it be better to show her playing the sport instead of just holding a ball.
I understand it's harder for you to commit a longer period of time to something like that but it would be good practice in posing your characters.

the picture is meant to be reference for the characters design but right now im planning on drawing a picture with her and a friend's OC playing soccer together actually i just have a few things that are on my to do list to be drawn before that

random digtal art is quite random
long story short, i got bored suddenly drew a wild eye, which turned into 2, which truned into a partial face
basically practice with soft shading, eyes, and blur (lots and lots of BLUUUURRRR)
theres a bunch i hate about this pic, but i also think it was good practice for furture attempts at realistic art
also ignore those horrid eye lashes.......
if you want the ever so nice long story, here you go

When doing digital rendering be sure to take your time.
The things I see right away is that the your eyes are very angled and your eyebrows are in a odd shape.
You might want to look over some facial anatomy.
Something else would be to take some photos and use the for personal reference.
Something I do like is that you're expanding your horizons, although I would try drawing more in pencil until you can afford a tablet.
Until then draw from life and study your proportions.

Re: Haruhi's Art (Critique Wanted!)

Thu Aug 16, 2012 3:47 pm

i actually wanted the eyes to be slightly angled but i realize thats not very true to life and should be fixed
also, i see what you mean about the eyebrows, this was for practice with eyes and i actually never intended to draw the eyebrows
i think i may go over and completely redo them
thanks for the advide i'll look into the facial anatomy and proportion stuff ^^
and yes its alot easier and looks better when i draw by pencil i suppose but hopefully i'll be able to afford a tablet someday because i like the way soft shaded digtal coloring looks over my colored pencils lol but one step at a time right?

EDIT: i redid the eyebrows
