i'm eager to improve :3

p.s. my scanner has been broken for the past couple months so i had to take this on my mother's camera phone so please excuse the quality, thank you

Looks very good but something I can see right away is that your feet are too simplified.
Check out some references to get the shapes down.

Your anatomy & proportions needs a lot of work. Specially if you want to go in a more realistic style. I would recommend studying some non anime style images for reference material. You're getting better based on your first few posts but you'll improve much faster by looking at some youtube videos to give you some tips and lessons.

Here is a set of videos you can study

@Morpheus
thanks, they're suppose to be heels which i've never really been good at
though, i guess from the angle of the picture, that doesn't really matter
thanks for the advice! i'm gonna look into that

@Sir Soulchild
thanks!

@G-O
i thought the proportions were quite well, could you perhaps try elaborating how they are off to you?
and i'll watch the video next time i have a chance to sit and watch attentively

Sure, I will use it with a side by side comparison of a basic female proportion sample. This is a common anatomy guide. The 7 1/2 head human body proportion guide, I placed a sample below. I also placed the link for you as well so you may read about basic female proportion. I do recommend reading at least.

Listen to Go.
Or at least try to appreciate what he's giving you.
And your eyes are too far in.
They should start at the ends of the nose, while the ears should start at the bottom of the nose.
Also, pay attention to your reference and study it carefully.

No need to be defensive about this. I am not attacking your work; I am merely offering you an honest critique as you asked. Let me ask you 2 questions, You want to draw realistic features but you do not wish to use any type of guidelines? Then how exactly do you plan on reaching your goal?. When it comes to art criticism, you’re going to get the good and the bad. However if you do not want anyone to point out the errors in your work and all you wish for is praise, then you might want to remove "Critique Wanted!" from your title.

With that said, I am not telling you to change your character body's type to the image to the right. The point I am trying to get across is that the placement of most of the bones and joints in your drawing are off. you have areas like the chest and arm too short and pretty much a non-existing pelvis.

Maybe this sample will make more sense to you

@Morpheus
oh, i tried to use my own face as reference but it's hard to keep looking in the mirror and trying to mimic what you see ^^;
but i'll try to look up woman's facial structures on like google or something so that i have a clearer image to go on! (:

no, i just didn't take YOUR advice, im constantly trying to follow Morpheus's advice (since he comments the most on my thread) since i've looked in his art thread and have seen that he is a very talented artist and so i feel he knows what he is talking about
i also take what other people say because they make sense to me
this being said, i do want critique, and i do take good and bad in order to improve, i just didn't like yours since it didn't follow what i wanted when i came to how i want my style to improve as

Haruhi, don't just listen to me.
His advice shows a much greater understanding of anatomical knowledge than I have.
Now even though you may not like what he has shown you, following what he has said will move you ahead by leagues.
One of the rules of art is you don't need anatomy unless you don't already know it.
Now, please follow what he has given you because you will struggle to find people who want to help as much as he does.

A lot of folks here have been quite helpful and generous in giving their advice; but that is the purpose of critiques anyway.

Hope this helps.

Don't stop learning :)
