See? It's all so clear when the actual rules are there. And I dig that you kept the numbering and didn't reset it.

I have exams, but I *might* participate, since I really need to get some serious arting done. First I'd need to think of a sea creature first, though... I figure the term "creature" is flexible?

I like this theme quite a bit. Never have I made a sea creature. One question, though. Is it still related to theme if the sea creature is made within mythological terms? I was kinda hoping to use a humaniod frame for some aspects of the body. As of now, I'm thinking of Deep Sea fish. Kinda the sort in the Pacific Abyss. I'd still amke one that doesn't exist. I just wanna know if they have to be natural, or there can be some magical properties to them.

I think that since I can't be a judge I'll participate in the contest just as something to do, not because I think I can win.

Haha. You're a wiz at lines and hatching, BL. A part of me wants this whacky beast to win the contest. :D

I still haven't started on mine. RL issues and moving to a new house really drags on artist's block. Especially when I want to draw this traditionally.

are... are those mouth coming out of it's head/tongue? And why does it have a human hand?
it looks like a creature that would fit into the Rice-boy world (www.rice-boy.com for an awesome and weird comic)

Also, I'm going to assume you're German? If my very lacking German isnt failing me right now, Daumenfische means Demonfish, right?

You're welcome, dude.

Oh, I still think I'm capable of participating. There's just going to be alot going on here, in Georgia, while I'm working on my entry. The only hard part is building together something highly original, but still within my boundaries where I can keep to my style. We'll see what goes, I suppose.

oh yeah thats right, a daum is a thumb
I live maybe 3 miles from the German border, but my German is so horrible xD

I think I may be putting to much work in this contest... that is, if I can finally find some damn free time to actually work on it >.>
