It is near impossible for anyone to draw a straight line without a tool. Only 2 people I heard of in history was said to have drawn a perfect circle without a tool. Da Vinci and Giotto Di Bondone. This can go for lines as well, just stating the whole 'perfect' concept. There is no way Max did a line on his own without a tool. Logically, he used one.
