Garsna's Art Gallery of Stuffs! (I'm not dead! =D )

Postby Garsna » Wed Nov 11, 2009 6:06 pm

Heya everyone! So as some of ya'll have already figured out I'm an anime artist and I work A LOT in photoshop. In fact, I'm an Arts and Technologies student at my local community college, about to head to a 4 year university to get my bachlor's once I get my associates (about a year left, I hope...=\ ).

Here's just an example of the kinda stuff I draw and work on in my spare time.

Just a little boy giving a flower to his mom, I know he has no feet, to lazy to fix tho. =P
Image

A WIP that I'm also to lazy to finish, but as I continue learning in Photoshop I know it'll be easier to finish and I should get to finish it soon.
Image

I'm a huge fan of avatar and I offered to draw a bunch of my friends bending their favorite element. This is just one of them, done in Photoshop.
Image

A sketch dump I did recently to work on my inability to draw the male figure. I think I'm getting pretty good. =D Beware, a bit of nudity, but nothing sexual, promise!
Image

An image I did of me and my b/f. I forgot to draw my glasses, OTL. Colored with Copic Markers, and a Photoshop Photo filter was added once I scanned it into my computer.
Image

A montage project from my Photoshop book. It was fun. =3
Image

Another Photoshop Assignment for my class, this was our Mid-term. We had to learn to use the vocal point and horizon line feature in Photoshop. I think it looks cool, even if it's a little off.
Image

The picture I put on the side of the Sony building for the Mid-term project.
Image

My most recent Photoshop Project. We had to make an album cover for any band we wanted, and I choose Hollywood Undead. I just took the images off the internet, I don't claim to own them or anything. I'm so proud of myself for this one, It looks so neat.

These are really good. I particularly like the Sony building one...at a glance it looks very realistic.
The first picture with the boy looks a bit pixelated, particularly the background (floor and walls, etc), but it's a good hand-drawn picture all the same.
Keep up the good work.

Hiryu: Doc's bag is a portal. She's actually from another dimension and when she jumped into it, she ended up at a desk with a browser open on this site. That's how she found it.
We have a Doctor Who thread now. Doctor Who threads are cool.

Just an image I started about an hour ago....Not sure if I should finish it...but we'll see. It was just something I wanted to do randomly. This is my original Garsna character btw.

Hehe. The eye was probably the most fun I'd had coloring something in a long time. I suppose I'll finish it once I get a little extra time. Go Go Holidays!

So here's the finished product. The hand and demon type stuff is completely new to me, although I love the content. Please be gentle. ^^; This is also my first COMPLETELY digital work that I've done without drawing it out in a sketch book and then scanning and using that.

I wanted to keep the lines kinda rough looking and the whole thing looking a little sketchy.....to help emphasize the "Craziness" of it all.

But ya....this subject matter is pretty new to me illustration wise. I hope it turned out alright.

You should get Flash, then draw those in scenes and make it like...a .Gif where the hair movies and the hand glows and such. It'd rule.
Working on another story other than Hellfire, called Geistauge, which can be found here.

Hehe. If I knew how to work flash and owned it I'd totally be all over that! But if you know how to work it I'd be more than happy to let you do it.

Looks good. Perhaps a bit more/different shading, maybe, but looks good otherwise.

@ Black

I was trying a different type of shading. I was thinking that I should use a more cell shading type technique, but you learn as you go. =3

@Eddieblefeces

I'm taking Digital Graphics type classes. Right now I'm in a beginning Photoshop class, and I'm working on my Arts and Technologies Degree.

The lines look kind of messy around the shirt/waist area. Other then that, it looks so hot 8D
Nice effect on the hand :3

Well it seems as though I need to add another picture. So here's my new DA ID. My other one was a little aged.

Here's another one of my sketches that I have yet to finish. I play Ragnarok Online on a free server, and this is my High Priestess.
