I don't like that he's entirely flat except for the shadow on his face. Other then that he's good.

I have to agree with Imosa.

The shadow underneath the hat does it no justice.

I would have either left it completely flat or shade it in some more. Otherwise your eye only focuses on the area around the shadow except of all of the picture. Which is something that you don't want.

Yeah, the idea was originally to cover his eyes with shadow completely... but that made him look waaaay to evil

Might add some basic shading after all, to at least remove the flatness

Okay, decided to do something else instead... This is a CS for a group I'm trying to get into

Their group focus is "Art and roleplaying"

From what I understood (I've never gotten into a group before), the people RP in the chatrooms and occasionally draw those scenes. And I guess there'll be assignments from the GMs to progress some sort of story.

It's not really pixel art, just really tiny vector art. I figured out a few interesting things in Illustrator and voila, this happened.

Sorry, knee-jerk reaction. Seriously, though, she looks awesome. I love the lines, are you one of those people who make me jealous that I can't seem to grasp the concept behind the pen tool? :)

Also, tiny vector art! I'm incredibly ignorant of 90% of what the rest of the Adobe Suite I have on my computer does. (There's more than Photoshop? What?) But that's kind of awesome. Definitely looking like something out of a game, and the block of water reminded me of Minecraft. XD

The Pen Tool is my bread and butter and topping and any other dish I might take with that. So yeah, I'm hopefully making you jealous, because that means I'm doing a good job :P

Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign, Flash, those are the ones I can work with. Kinda need to know those for my education and all that, plus they're just fun.
I got a few more blocks now, like glass, stone and brick. It's fun stuff to do.

Everything is fun.
