Greetings, I'm quite new to the forums, since I've just registered a few days ago.

I can introduce myself first:

My (user)name is qqchurch. I lurk in the internet, gathering random facts, guides and...stuff. I draw anime, though I haven't really progressed from my previous skills. I use GIMP for my image editing, not that I would try to get Photoshop...legally.

On to the topic, this thread would feature the most recent 'Art' that I have created by means of hands, tablet, or GIMP.

I'll start off with my most recent drawing, a collection of random doodles of anime faces and ...stuff. Plus, I tried drawing a Chibi-Grim Jr...kinda.

Thoughts and Opnions?

First off
Welcome to the Art Forum

1. I can Read your username but thanks for the accentuation. I'm glad to see you put it in your Threadname, many don't do that.
2. You don't draw Anime, because that's the TV show name coming from "Animation". You draw "Manga" (go ahaid and call me a quibbler)
3. Opinion... well yeah You drew some random Manga Faces mostly front view.. that ain't much to create an opinion, post more art of yours and I'll be able to give you my opinion.

My Art thread

Sorry for the thread Necro, I've been busy with schoolwork and I've been reading Griddles' fics in the Lit. forum,

1. Thanks, it's usually a habit of mine to introduce my username in intro threads.
2. I usually overlook a lot of things when I post in a rush. D:
3. I'll be posting some more works in a while, though I'm still trying to grasp the concept of how to draw a body and stuff. Most of what I could do at the moment are the basic shapes for the head. Plus I'm also having trouble with drawing hair the way I want it to be drawn, though it could be just because I'm drawing the heads a bit too small.

aaaanyway, qqchurch, i have to say that you are starting well, i have seen your deviantart, and surely i think you r doing heads a bit bigger than a normal standard. Well, naturaly, Manga is like that tought.

I gotta say thanks, I'll try to fix the sizes of my heads and eyes until I've gotten them right. I'm just testing out different drawing styles at the moment, specifically bleedman's. The only problem I have with it is that the irises are so hard to align correctly and sometimes, the other eye usually looks like it had been punched. Though, I did just start trying it out a few hours ago...I'll probably work it out by tonight. :D

There isn't any real way a person could have an opinion on whether or not you did a good job on your doodles. Rather than sticking to just simple elementary faces and expressions, try branching out more. Like, try drawing the whole person next time. Once you do that you'll most likely find people with actual opinions on your art.

Nonetheless, I hope you continue drawing and learning. You're starting off well and the fact that you're attempting to learn new art styles is great. To become better at drawing, you should attempt to draw from real life also. That really helped me become better in the beginning.

My OC, Yumi, is heavily inspired by Shan from Shakugan no Shana. I'm still working out a lot of things before I would move on to making comics and such, which would probably be a long time before I'm fully satisfied with what I do.
