its not illegal to download a torrent of a file you have already payed for. like, is u have Photoshop cs2 and you payed for it and stuff, then you lose it. you can go online and get the torrent legally, thats how it works.

Pirate Bay might have it. Keep an eye on the number of seeds and the comments. If it's got a ton of seeds and the comments are positive and plentiful, then it's more likely than not a good torrent.

I dissaprove the use of piracy, there before I command you to inmediatelly use GIMP instead, because the logo is cute.

PD: Nothing I was doing in CS couldn't be done in GIMP.
And almost everything that makes Photoshop awesome, well, I don't use it.

There's goddamn gimp you can download for FREE! legit, no cost! and you still whine moan and roar about Photoshop?

You can use vectors, but you cannot manipulate it like Illustrator. photoshop is raster base and illustrator is all vector base. It's good for people who likes to do vector base artwork for the lines and what not, and it is recommended to people who use cell shading. However it's somewhat of a chore to transfer into Jpeg.

By the way, by flatting, do you mean putting down base colors to make easier selections on limbs etc?

Oh, yeah, I suppose the Pen tool in photoshop counts as being vector-based. It is pretty nice for cellshading, though I don't usually bother to use it.

It's ok if you're trying to do vector linework. Vector linework, however, has always been way too much effort to be worth it for me.

Illustrator has a very steep learning curve but after that it's not so bad.

It took me 2 minutes to figure out how to instantly convert raster lineart to vector in illustrator, just because it smooths the lines, and that's the only thing I've ever used it for.
