its not illegal to download a torrent of a file you have already payed for. like, is u have Photoshop cs2 and you payed for it and stuff, then you lose it. you can go online and get the torrent legally, thats how it works.

I keep getting errors on my windows XP, it keeps saying I need to put in the key, I do, register it, then it tells me the key isn't good. The disc is legit too and I have no idea what to do XD

That's okay, Erix. I'm going to take it to a tech and have him work on it.

Pirate Bay might have it. Keep an eye on the number of seeds and the comments. If it's got a ton of seeds and the comments are positive and plentiful, then it's more likely than not a good torrent.

Bah, I get some sorta Memory problem when I open Erix's Photoshop.
Instead of fixng the problem, I'll just drop it and go back to using my Lovely, boring version 7.0.

Go me.

I dissaprove the use of piracy, there before I command you to inmediatelly use GIMP instead, because the logo is cute.

PD: Nothing I was doing in CS couldn't be done in GIMP.
And almost everything that makes Photoshop awesome, well, I don't use it.
So far so good, since I installed the last version, it doesn't fail on me anyome.

CS can do vector art if you know how.
Unfortunately I don't know how, but I've seen it done.

Hey! Y'all better not be CONSIDERING illegal filesharing in MAH forum!

I do not condone such behaviour!

One would NEVER find me downloading a torrent for Illustrator CS3, certainly not this very day!

Hmmmm I wonder if I have space for Painter. All previous attempts to use the things have failed fairly miserably. I enjoy how the program mimics paint but I intensely dislike how I can't use a 'flatting' technique with it. I'm a control freak :(

What the hell is all this crap?

There's goddamn gimp you can download for FREE! legit, no cost! and you still whine moan and roar about Photoshop?

You can use vectors, but you cannot manipulate it like Illustrator. photoshop is raster base and illustrator is all vector base. It's good for people who likes to do vector base artwork for the lines and what not, and it is recommended to people who use cell shading. However it's somewhat of a chore to transfer into Jpeg.

By the way, by flatting, do you mean putting down base colors to make easier selections on limbs etc?
copyrights are a bitch ain't it?

Easier selections on everything. It's a masking tool.

Oh, yeah, I suppose the Pen tool in photoshop counts as being vector-based. It is pretty nice for cellshading, though I don't usually bother to use it.

It's ok if you're trying to do vector linework. Vector linework, however, has always been way too much effort to be worth it for me.

Illustrator has a very steep learning curve but after that it's not so bad.

It took me 2 minutes to figure out how to instantly convert raster lineart to vector in illustrator, just because it smooths the lines, and that's the only thing I've ever used it for.

Thank you all for not helping Shoi. She should totally know better than to get an icky virus on her computer and have to reformat the drive and lose everything, including really expensive programs like that. Tut, tut, Shoi!

I have never been in the same boat as you, and never had to pirate anything to replace my lost programs. To even ask is abominable, I say!

You are all good and law-abiding citizens for discouraging piracy as a whole. Carry on with your completely moral ways, good friends, and remember to admonish pirates wherever you see them!

If you truly what to make vector based Lineart, and have no cash, you should try Inkscape.
