It turned out a little too "cartoon-y" (for lack of a better word) than I would've liked...

I've never tried to digitally color something before today...I like how it turned out, though

For a first shot, not bad I think. You should think about some highlights or shadows though to give depth.

Ha, I'm just glad it didn't turn out to be a big blob of indistinguishable (but pretty) colors , I'll play around with the program I got, and see what I can do

I haven't decided...it was supposed to be some cheesy outline for a banner welcoming the local football team to the shop, but I'd actually like to try to be as detailed as I can be with the sketch, now. (to the best of my abilities, anyhoo)

A'ight, step two.
I've erased the cartoonish fur on her cheeks and widened the guidelines to make the face look more realistically proportioned. Other than that, I've erased the eyes for now, (they were too low) and been working on detailing the maw...

Nice fur texturing.

Ok, I played around until I came up with what seemed like (to me) a decently shaded face

I tried to be subtle...not go too crazy with it...

A'ight, I'm back from the dead.

This is a doodle of an as yet unnamed OC for an as yet unwritten story, on my favorite medium, a pizza box.



Here's something I actually put effort into.



And here's the face started long ago and finally finished.



I'd say it's about as good as it's gonna' get with what ability I have, so I'm pretty happy.

That cat in the grass is pretty badass, dude! The shading on it is really good. I'd say the tiger head looks awesome too, but the eyes are too friendly and large. Tiger eyes are mean!
