Paint Chat pretty much is oekaki.

Not really. They are both online art applets, but in oekakis you can actually save your work, have members leave comments, and archive art. An oekaki is an image board, and PaintChat is pretty much a chat room.

You can save your work in paint chat too ^_^'

No comments, sure, but that's why we just post them in this thread. It lets the community chat while we come up with crazy arts.

And PChat empties out completely often enough that occasionally, you really can have the canvas all to yourself.

Ye, I can't really see why we'd need a seperate oekaki. This is more social than an oekaki, and if you want the canvas to yourself, go paint in photoshop and post it in your own thread.

Bah ha ha - Zappa fan and I were attacking the paint chat ^_^

I'm actually strangely proud of that girl in blue ... And of course - being an eternal sonic fan, I love Zapp's sonic ;)

BoyMonkey and Zapp's sister Alfina joined us - and we came up with this:

And then just me and Alfina together ^_^

Lovely atacked-ness

mmm ... I wouldn't say messed up - but it looks as though you maybe should have made the tail 'fluffier', is that the right word? - the shading on it is beautiful though. :ogle:

I'm down with the idea of getting an Oekaki. The paintchat is cute and social and all, but it frustrates me, because it destroys my ability to make real pictures. Most any oekaki has shit tons of tools, this paintchat barely has a pencil and eraser to work with, and the screen is mega small.

If I find out how to put one on my website, I'll officially make it the Snafu Oekaki.

Image Yea! I'm glad somebody agrees! If you need help putting the oekaki on your site, I might be able to help.

Maybe you can, I'm running through some shit right now with the users being unable to post after the entire installation is said and done.

Though I figure I didn't do everything in the right order, so I'm reinstalling to see if I can fix it. I will update the status of my problem after my attempted reinstall either fails or succeeds.

EDIT: ---

After reinstall, it still refuses to post any pictures in the same manner. I found a forum thread that has my exact problem listed in it, and the steps to go about fixing it.

However, this involves emailing my system administrator to tell them to change some permissions on my server. And currently my host's helpdesk is down. Haha. So this might take several days.

Due to the nature of the problem, it is unlikely any other oekaki programs will work, and the oekaki BBS program I have currently is super awesome and does everything. So if at all possible, I'm going to stick to what I have.

Stay posted, soldiers.

Which did you choose, Wacintaki or Wax Poteto? And did you find the thread on the NineChime forum?

I chose Wacintaki... Is Wax Poteto any better? And yes, I did find the thread there.

Naw, I think Wacintaki is better, I'm glad you chose it. =D I find it to be more user-friendly and appealing than Wax. Wacintaki is more popular, so I'm sure you found help easily. Which hosting site are you using?

Oh, and you sure you couldn't chmod the folders to 755 or 777?

Well, I've tried all the CHMOD combinations I could think of. I'm using a host called "Hostdime.net".

They'll come back around eventually. Currently they are down still.

That's me. From right to left, it's a Random Angry Eye, Void, the upper head of Ivenks and a hand.

And yeah, the pcchat has been a bit lonely these past days. Dunno why.
