Nice one Black! The bot looks like the one in Robocop but with more things. Are you going to make some of these pics into 3d like the ones you done before? ^_^

No, I've already done MadCat and Thor (the one standing is MadCat and destroyed 'mech is Thor) last year. Here they are (made 100% in "PowerPoint 2003"):

Cool Man! I know how you feel about working on some things. I'm right now in some sort of block, I start sketching but it seems as if I don't like what I see. I think is due to being busy doing other things that need to be done. Oh well! ^_^

The military hardware sort of reminds me of that Glitch game, but whatever, very nice work, I'd love to have the talent you do in drawing robots and mechs, I suuck.

@Ipsalsaman:
Yeah, artist's blocks are really annoying. Everyone gets them from time to time...

@Brax4:
Glitch game? Never heard of it. I'll check the wikipedia or google it later...
Thank you for your compliments. I really like robotics, so I draw androids, robots and mechas quite often.

I guess mines are due to the time I spend not doing anything. I sometimes stay out of doing any drawings for long periods of time, so it takes me a while before I get back into some sort of groove. It will pass...

BLAck'z ART => Syndicate

Postby Black » Fri Sep 05, 2008 1:53 pm

Agent from SEGA version of "Syndicate":
Image
And robotic Cop and Guard from SEGA version of the game:
Image
Both of these are wip works, just to let you see what I've been up to lately.

Did you know that DOS version of the game was rated 16+ and SEGA console version was rated Teen(13+)? This is because they replaced cops and guards with robots in SEGA version, so insted of "killing" cops, you blow cop-bots up XD

Looks pretty good, my only critique would be detailing the coat just a little bit, the face and gun look amazing compared to the rest of the paper, so I'd say just spend a little more time on the coat and pants, but it looks really good.

Thank you for your comments, they are very appreciated, I'm glad you liked those. Like I said, those are work-in-progress pieces. I still have to do backgrounds and folds on agent's clothing.
This is a screenshot of the SEGA version of the game (which I used as refference):

BLAck'z ART => Project: Harvest Moon

Postby Black » Wed Sep 10, 2008 1:42 pm

Project: Harvest Moon

This "project" consists of screenshots from few games and screenshot modifications. I made all these few years ago, but I finally got around to uploading it.

File 1:
Versus Screen
Image
Non-modified Vs Screen of chicken fights from "Harvest Moon: Friends Of Mineral Town".

File2:
Golden Axe
Image
When I saw a tool named "Golden Axe" in "Harvest Moon: Friends Of Mineral Town", I simply HAD to make this screenshot modification.
Kid from "Harvest Moon: FOMT" added in "Golden Axe 2" screenshot.

File3:
Harvest Hina?
Image
Screenshot modification. Sarah from "Love Hina Advance" in "Harvest Moon: FOMT". When one of my friends saw this, he asked me how I got Sarah to show up in "Harvest Moon: FOMT" XD

File4:
Harvest Sensei Negima?
Image
Screen modification. Konoka from "Mahou Sensei Negima" in "HM: FOMT".

File 5:
Harvest Yugi?
Image
Screenshot modification. Tea from "Yu-Gi-Oh: World Championship 2005" (or whichever year it was...) in "HM: FOMT".

File 6:
Horse Race
Image
Screen modification - horse race in "Harvest Moon: FOMT". Riders from top to bottom: Shinobi from "Shinobu 3: Return Of Ninja Master", Paladin from "Age Of Empires 2", kid from "HM: FOMT" and Barbie (you know, the popular doll?).

File 7:
Musha moon?
Image
Modified screenshot from intro of "Aleste: Fullmetal Fighter Ellinor" ("M.U.S.H.A." in USA). You can see kid from "HM: FOMT" on one video screen.

File 8:
Harvest Moon: Nemesis?
ImageImage
This is the comparison of non-modified screenshots from "Harvest Moon: FOMT" left and "Resident Evil 3: Nemesis" right.
Image
Previous comparison lead me to make a modified screenshot from "HM: FOMT", with Nemesis from "Resident Evil 3: Nemesis" added.

File 9:
Populous 3: Friends Of Mineral Town?
Image
Screen modification. This animation shows kid from "HM: FOMT" holding his dog above his head and characters from "Populous: The Beginning" bowing to it. I made a desert-like clearing on the farm in "HM: FOMT", so it would look like some planets from "Populous".

File 10:
Shining Moon 2?
ImageImage
Screenshot modifications showing kid from "HM: FOMT" on battlefield from "Shining Force 2" (left) and stats menu from "SF2" with kid from "HM: FOMT" as selected character.

File 11:
Harvest Moon Alchemist?
ImageImage
Screenshot modifications showing kid from "HM: FOMT" in "Fullmetal Alchemist" (left) and Ed and Al from "FMA" in "HM: FOMT" (right).

File 12:
Final Moon?
ImageImage
Non-modified animations comparing "Earth Render" attack from "Final Fantasy Tactics" (left) and diging with upgraded hoe in "HM: FOMT" (right).
ImageImage
Non-modified animations comparing "Whirlwind" attack from "Final Fantasy Tactics" (left) and cutting grass with upgraded scythe in "HM: FOMT" (right).

<EDIT>

Forgot to add this:

BLAck'z ART => I'm Back!!!

Postby Black » Thu Nov 13, 2008 5:59 pm

Image
I'M BACK!!! After being 'netless for a month, I finally get a Laptop and 'net connection where my faculty is! And after that, something comes up every time I have free time and try to post on Snafu! First, my connection drops for few hours shortly after I login to Snafu. Few days later, power is out and nobody knows why. About 8 hours later, power's back, but I've got no free time left. I've been busy most of the time and when I wasn't, something ALWAYS came up! Now, I'm finally updating!

This is a drawing I drew in "MS Paint" to get used to using a touchpad instead of a mouse:
Image
I got "Flash 8" recently, so I decided to make a quickie to test it out (I wonder how many people will understand this?):
Image
And I just HAD to make this GIF after I watched "Red Vs. Blue: Blood Gultch Chronicles":
Image

I haven't been drawing much lately, but I'll soon scan and upload few things I DID draw (probably sometime tomorrow, since I'm in my hometown for next few days).

Thanks for the warm welcome, Ipsalsaman. I really missed your artwork. There's the explanation why I was gone below the "I'm Back" picture - I didn't have Internet Connection for a month and I was busy during most of the second month I was gone.

sam4books wrote:I missed your critiques :(

I missed your art, Sam :'( .

Anyway, I thought I should mention this, just in case: I DIDN'T make the "I'm Back" picture. I just made all the others :) . And here's an art update:

Awesome work, neat concepts and clever comics. I like your style and your sci-fi vehicle work, and those recent Harvest Moon project submissions were real good nostalgia from back in the day when I used to watch those series.

Looking forward to more of your stuff!
