Backgrounds are evil to draw because then I'll actually have to take effort to draw them. : (

i find persons the most evil thing to draw and the backgrounds to be quite eazy to draw(or the most fun atleast) but then im only thalking about drawing with pencels and stuff

here's a sketch of a character im working on, hes not definite yet os his face could change. This is only the face stage, when im satisfied with his face ill figure out what he'll wear:

i'll be honest. the background sketch took me more than an hour..but colouring it took 30 minutes

yeah my bro noticed that too but when i tried erasing it i found out I had applied too much force on the paper with the pencil so it left a mark, and decided to leave it at that to not risk the drawing

in other words, I was lazy

Drawing and sketch look good Leddkire.
Although i like the sketch better because the girl's dress does look less plain with the little drawing on it.

this guy is just falling(or leaning) for no reason, its just a practice on profile and hands etc:



now In class I was assigned to copy a pose in a book and then add my own stuff. That was some time ago, now i was assigned again the same pose and i compared them:

about 2 1/2 hours on this. Hour on sketch and hour and a half on coloring (no outlining cause I found out it didnt look that dirty when i thresholded it)

i would have to say your sketches are far better than your line work
mostly because of your shading which is very apparent in the male's face on the first page of your first update yesterday

your colored artwork is excellent as well
in your last you did the shading very well and the outfit is cool

keep up the good work and don't get discouraged even when you don't get a lot of comments
just keep drawing for yourself and your enjoyment and your art will become grand
