Tadpole, yeah you're idea is basically Relick's XD You are free to come up with another one, though.

Short span comics/create a character would be nice...and the winner will have the priviledge of continuing the series and being added in the list that Snaufu has. (if at some point the reaction to the series are low, snafu mods has the right to take it out).

I'm OK with part one, but I reject part 2: having it become an actual comic. Sorry, but first of all creating more work for Dave is something I don't want to do, and second of all creating an actual comic is *way* more work than I believe most of you think it is. Please keep the consequences of the contest to WITHIN the contest thread lol.

Oh ho, but I first suggested it back when Flux was judging these contests, remember? It was a hit back then, and with new artists, ideas, and friendships, we're bound to have a rather large turnout again. So NEHHH!! lol

Ok, the poll is up.

A few items:
1) I definitely need clarification on "the world gone to hell". I really don't understand the point or how that would be succinctly portrayed.

2) Create-a-character does not work so well when it's *that* open ended. Normally when I have done character creation trades/contests, the character had to have a few traits. That way we would all know that the character had been created for the trade/contest and it also added quite a bit of challenge. Not only that, but it gives you a mechanism to *compare*. Otherwise, as a judge, I would be trying to compare a drawing of an insectoid monster to a robot or something. Do you mind if I added qualifications of the character to the contest (if it won?)

@ Everyone: YAY! Third vote!
...

What!? See the good in everything, and all that mumbo-jumbo.

@Spike: Why would I mind? If anything will make your job easier and is in your power, do it.

Yeah, just forget about my idea. I took some second thoughts on it and it seems impossible to explain. It's too open-thoughted. Anyways, I'm going with fancharacters. It's simple but holds alot of additions to it if the right additions are added. ^_^

Added after 1 minutes:

Their characters we make up for a certain show/comic/etc. Like Erix's Ketil; he was made for a PPGD universe.

Hope that clears it up.

..............no.

Like you create a character to fit into an existing show. Like Bleedman made up Bell to fit with the PPG.

Dear God, "Fan Characters" is winning? Sheer genius, guys, let's have like five hundred shitty recolor Mary Sue comic strips.

And don't you dare say otherwise, because I've seen the damage some of these forum members can do and I'm expecting the worst.

I've been in several roleplaying games based off of certain shows and anime. Would that be something considered acceptable as an entry, since he/she was created to fit in with the existant universe anyway?
