It looks nice, but how does that pertain to the "Ultimate Showdown of Snafu Comics" theme?

Hey there, long time fan, first time poster.

This is my first (and possibly last) post on these forums. I'm just putting this here so I can enter my artwork into the contest and see what goes down.

Right now I have two submissions:

And I don't know if this'll fly by the rules, but what the hell.

I'm still fairly new at doing this art stuff, but this is probably one of the best things I've done so far

There's just something about the word "Neeple-Lazors" that makes me giggle...

Well, color me purple! Look what's back!

I'm crazy busy with a HUGE mother of a project that I'm working on (It's quite exciting, really, and what's best is, there's a good chance you'll all get to see it when it's done....depending on what channels you frequent) (Yeah! TV CHANNELS! WOOO!)

Enough of that. I'm TOTALLY in for the next round...if I can squeeze it in, anyway.

GREAT to see these things back!

Well, here's the uncolored one I'm working on...I have to learn to use photoshop better, and this is in no way finished (Grim's scythe is really short, and I have no clue as to the dimensions of Red's sword...thingy, so I can't do anything about that...) I just added the black coloring to the chess board and grim's eyes so that they don't look creepy... And the zoom image is huge...I didn't realize that, sorry...And I have no idea how to fix it either...>_<

http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/35508604/

Hope this is alright...I still have no clue how to color it effectively...

Hahaha that's a really cute idea Aneri :) Well done ! I was actually toying with the idea of something like chess but you beat me to it ;) And don't worry about your colouring skills, Challeng Yourself is a learning experience! There are some great tutorials in the tutorial thread, check them out and do your best :)

Hense, the question- Here is a link to my comic:
Image
I spent HOURS on it, not for the meaning of competing but I have nothing better to do. It still looks awful because it was edited in FRICKEN PAINT!!
Wish I had my adobe back...
But drawn, inked red, scanned, and edited in paint.
And this contest is 'Ultimate showdown', when that came to mind I thought... Xiaolin Showdown... AND HA! Tin's a ninja so it goes perfect.
And so, the result of a Shen Gong Wu challenge between Omi & Tin.

uhm.. isn't that the apple of Discord? From that show Grim Tales is based on... the giant K is a dead giveaway
Sorry if this sounds kinda mean, just thought i could make a small correction(i'm always very leary about correcting other people)

Not sure it's it's the kinda thing you guys are lookin' for, but...

Snaf-Con Gone Wrong by TJF588

I drew it in less than half an hour, and the idea came off the top of my head. Hope it makes someone laugh.

Oh, would anyone mind critiquing this non-Snafu drawing?
Nanaki: Human Version by TJF588
Note that it's still in mid-editting...

[whatever tells you how long it's been between original post and an edit]

HOLY CRAP!! Just finished browsing through the rest of the entries (I stopped to drw mine after the first few). There are sketches on here I wish I could simply emulate, and even the "sub-par" (if that's even applicable) ones still have the punch of a cool idea. I especially laughed at Megas squashing everyone (I was psyched seeing Aku thar!). Too bad my anal-retentiveness is kicking in over the grammar... it burns stronger as I become sleepeier... argh

Also, I have become intrigued by the "Fem-Travis" thing. Why is it some of the best lookin' comic gals are transgendered comic guys? Too bad it don't work so well in the real world *shivers* Anyway, any reference links to this?
Let's be clear. The planet is not in jeopardy. We are in jeopardy. We haven't got the power to destroy the planet -- or to save it. But we might have the power to save ourselves.
