Srsly.

I honestly cant believe how much of a difference it makes. I LOVED the Art forum when it was first created, and for a while it was grand. But yeah, as more and more fanfics developed, it got harder and harder to find the art I wanted to see. So I rpetty much stopped coming here unless specifically directed. Now though?

Oh man. Its been a good couple of days for me.

Ermm....I am working on drawing more manly men. I have finally realized that guys aren't just girls w/o boobs and eyelashes.

I used to draw opposite to that problem..........try not to imagine the girls made manifest from this problem >.>

Let me guess, what started you on anime was Dragonball Z?

It's the SM/DBZ syndrome, girls who started anime from Sailor Moon can't really draw men and guys who started anime from DBZ can't really draw girls.

Pokemon was my first anime that I started character drawing, but I first got into the anime style when my mother was attempting to draw one of her RP characters like that. She showed me how to draw the eyes, and I went on from there.

Though it didn't come out quite as "anime" as my mom wanted, it still came out pretty kick-ass. Here's the pic:

Thats awesome looking. I like the coloration.

Hmmm...I think my first real inzpiration to start drawing was when I saw my friend drawing in school. He was pretty good, and he got even better over the next year or two. Unfortunately, he stopped last summer. But yeah, thats what got me started. Then I stopped for a while. But When I joined Snafu, Acktoo prompted me to draw through the New Begginings RP.

My first drawing insipration was animals, like real animals. Mainly my cat. What got me pushed into 'human' art was Ranma 1/2 :)

Happy belated birthday, SpikeComix! ^_^

And, oddly enough, I started drawing anime because of DBZ, and I still can't draw guys! XD

Yeah...I happen to be hopeless like that... (in following trends and in drawing guys). Well, the following trends I don't mind, I'm the type of person that does what she wants and doesn't care what random strangers think (but I take my friend's opinions very seriously), so I generally don't follow trends...as a rule.

But, yeah, DBZ was awesome, Dragonball was pretty good, and DBGT sucked >_<

I mentioned that my humans started with Ranma :) To this day it remains one of my favourite anime.

Added after 20 minutes:

Art theft sucks and why do people think they can get away with it?

Discuss.

It's because they think they can get away with it, plain and simple. Especially since there are really no set laws when it comes to the internet. I'd simply die if someone tried to steal my work! Ugh, I shudder at the thought of it.

Uhhhh totally not true. Copyright and intellectual property rights are WELL in the domain. They just aren't enforced.

I think its because people dont have to face others online. They figure that if they can get lots of "oohs and awws" off of someone else's work, and not have to look anyone in the eye, why not? Its a cheap ego boost.

And if they get busted? Pffft...they hightail it out of there, and try somewhere else. The sam reason people do lots of stupid stuff online really.
