3 guards were behind walls ducking for cover, what the fragging hell was that homeless guy doin? One of them thought as they tried shooting back. It didn't seem like any of their bullets were hitting him. Does he have some kind of force field up that the rest can't see?
All these screaming civilians had made all 3 officers stressed. They didn't know what to do in this situation. "Home Station, we got a code B50 requesting backup" One of the horizon officers radioed in

During all this Chaos Time Bomb managed to slip through the chaotic crowd of civilians, knocking a few down i the process. He snuck his way into Car #3 and sighed.
"Stealth, would have been better option" He rubbed the horns on his head. This team of freaks hasn't shown any real teamwork yet. It's been less than 5 hours and thing have already gone to drek. "What happens if Guards search train?" Time Bomb inquired. Getting on the train was the easy part, now they'll have to find a way to stop themselves from getting shot at anyways. But this time their feet won't be planted to the ground.
Have you tried turn it off and on again?

Safe Zone noticed the troll lumbering onto the train and waved from his booth near the back of the car, beckoning his teammate to sit nearby, hoping the sight of the troll walking down the car's length would draw the rest of the group into nearby booths so they could get a handle on the situation.

More importantly, he needed Surface Tension nearby for the cloaking spell before the guards recovered from the shock of the illusion.

A sigh of relief left Swift's mouth. It was also a sigh of annoyance. This could have gone much better, but they made it to the train so he couldn't complain to much. There was still some commotion, so there was still time for the others to get on board. While he waited, he followed Time Bomb towards Safe, who managed to stay calm and direct the team after the fire. "You're somethin' of a strategist, aren't ya? Keepin' calm with all this." A smile told the mage that the compliment was genuine.

"Now... Where's that fraggin' 'genius'? Here's hopin' he didn't do anythin' to frag this up even more after he boarded."

When the man who had yet to speak to any of them began lighting trashcans on fire, she waited and watched, slipping on the train only seconds before him. Once he boarded, she sighed. "Once the train starts moving, we can go look for the others. Good job with the distraction, by the way, but you were too noticeable." She heard gunshots and looked out the window, sighing at the sight. "And, of course, the others have to resort to magic instead of using an actual skill." She looked at Raiden, shaking her head. "I'm Red Queen, by the way. And you?"

Spiderling sat in the far end of Car#3. Her head rest against the wall, her goggles displaying the raining code of the matrix. Horizon had changed their security systems since she had been away. She hated prison. Not because of the food, fighting and lack of privacy. No, it was being cut off from the matrix. She had jumped at the chance to work for the striped suited man. She didn't care what was in the case so long as she didn't have to go back to that cell. On the way to the train station Spiderling had still seemed entranced, only ever half listening to the conversation around her.

While the others had been busy talking of a way on to the train, Spiderling had gotten past the security of the device used to check the passengers SIN. Breaking from the group quietly the lithe little elf walked over to the guards in front of the train. The guard looked to the scanner as Spiderling gave a tug on her virtual web and the scanner gave her the go ahead. From her seat at the end of Car#3 she watched as the team started a fire, than a fake firefight and scrambles on to the car. It was starting to look like the were becoming less and less in her favor. That is, until she cracked through Horizon security and hacked in to the trains systems. "Time to go, all aboard the Spiderling Express." She said softly as the doors closed and the train began to move.

"Ah. Good job. Nice to know we got a techie in our little band of misfits." Swift was glad, if that was really the word. The Suit brought seven convicts together, and Swift's first concern once they'd started was a lack of skill sets. He chuckled as he reminded himself that big shots like him think of everything. "Well, nothing to do but enjoy the ri-" A thought crossed his mind, and he looked left and right to try to prove it wrong.

It wasn't there. The case wasn't there. "Whoa, hold it, hold it! Where the frag's that case?!" He kept his voice down as best he could, but he was still worried. He sorted his thoughts to remember where he'd seen it last. "Does that Psycho Lady have it? She make it onto the train?"

Safe Zone

Postby (CH3)3CLi » Sun Apr 06, 2014 8:52 pm

Safe Zone wanted to groan from exasperation, but stifled the urge. People were stressed enough as it was. He had been too busy thinking around the disaster caused by the flamboyantly-dressed idiot to take into account the most important part of the group: that fragging case.

Swift Strike was right. That behaviorally inept succubus still had hold of it, and he hadn't seen her around when Surface Tension chose car three as their meeting point, meaning she probably moved on her own and boarded the train without a plan. To make matters worse, she was nowhere on their car. He was damn sure he'd have noticed that flashy, blood-stained kimono amidst the normal garb of the more respectable New York citizens scattered throughout the car.

"I hate to put off the safety of stealth for the group, but while we've still got time, Surface Tension should make use of his invisibility and search the other cars for the case--and the Garbage Arsonist or Psycho Lady if he feels like it. As far as I know, the train conductor won't be immediately checking for railcards. What do you guys think? Should we risk it?"

Time Bomb knew the risks, there's no way this Train isn't filled with Horizon Guards. "Hostages. We take hostages" Time Bomb suggested. He figured if the group had leverage the Guards would have one reason to not go trigger happy all over them. Time Bomb couldn't give two dreks about the missing two "teammates" all he cared about was the suitcase. He felt irked that he had to give ideas. All this old profession required was that he blew drek up. Making plans and coordinating ideas isn't something he's too fond of.

Tiem Bomb does think not all his team mates are bad. There's certainly a few that got their fragging drek together. Time Bomb liked that, maybe Time Bomb won't eat them when they fall asleep.

As the train began moving, Red smirked. "Wait here or come with me. Either way, I'm going to find the others." With the briefcase in hand, she began walking through the cars, using all her stealth until she saw someone she recognized. She looked at the door she had just entered and smirked. "Car 3. Smart, boys. Really smart." She held up the case. "And no, you shouldn't risk anything. Not unless it's absolutely necessary. By the way, I'm not Psycho Lady, I'm Red Queen." She strutted up towards them with a sigh. "Now, tell me again why I'm the only woman on the team?"

"Looks like I won't be needing to search for her after all, and honestly the guards are gonna call for help once we get hostages, aviary vehicles, stopping the train the whole nine yards, since three of them already botched up my plan we really have no eeal options left but to either kill the guards and sneak our way out wirh hostages, or hide, get off before the train stops somehow, and continue on our own, I mean Dim a well known terrorist, ms alone means an entire law force on my ass, what do you think it means with all of us in one place?"

Surface was visibly irritated, he-he wanted something to occupy his mind, and a bunch of lambs in a room with a few wolves was beginning to look like an opportunity for said fun to him.His pupils were dilating again, and he had stopped caring when queen was talking, it bored him, he wanted more fun.

Annoyance. That's was the best way to describe what was happening. Annoyance and anger with some of the group that's was there. The Garbage Arsonist had yet to show himself, so they'd have to make do with the fact that the "Red Queen" had managed to show up with the case. Her statement of being the only female proved to Swift that she hadn't bothered to look around.

"You're not. We got 'Spiderling' over there, as she calls herself. Look, you want a solution to stealth that doesn't involve magic..." His gaze moved to Surface as he continued. "...And you want some fun? We could try riding the train from the outside. Assuming we're careful, and there's enough to hold onto, it should make for quite a ride. No casualties, no hostages. Nothing to advertise us to security, at least while they check the passengers."

Safe Zone

Postby (CH3)3CLi » Sun Apr 06, 2014 11:53 pm

Safe Zone snapped at the sheer idiocy on display in front of him. He'd be damned if he had to keep this kind of unhelpful, attention-seeking teammate alive, but the success of the mission hinged on everyone working together, and while he had no doubt that some succubus who refused to use magic and technology would lose horrendously to the combined force of Surface Tension and Swift Strike alone, he had better things to concern himself with than petty squabbling from a woman-child.

"No. You're Psycho Lady until you prove yourself otherwise. You want to act high-and-mighty? Do that when you've actually got something to be high and mighty about. All you've done so far is threaten your own teammate--i.e., me, punched a wall, refused to accept a viable plan when one was offered due to your own personal preferences, and scurried off without so much as a nod towards any of us--with the goddamn fragging case, I might add. How's that for unnecessary fragging risk you drek-mongering fragger? I'm not here to tell you how to do your job, but the Stripe-Suited Hellspawn is, and he made it clear that we need to deliver this case or die trying. So let me ask you this: are you going to drop the attitude towards us any time now or do we have to continue the rest of this mission with a teammate who's useless only because she refuses to actually cooperate and communicate with the team? I don't care if you're psychotic, but at least pretend to work with us."

He couldn't recall the last time he let loose on someone--actually, he could, but he'd rather not think about it--but this bitch was just trying to be uncooperative at this point. He struggled to keep his voice even to avoid alarming any passengers who happened to be within earshot.

"If we have to resort to hanging on to the top of a fragging train because you refuse to let Surface Tension drop a cloaking spell over you, then you should hang on that train roof by your fragging self."

"Before someone does somethin' that leads to a few corpses on the train..." Swift was never great at talking people down, but he figured he may as well try. "The Suit told us not to make a mess before we made it outta New York. To me, that translates to clean and quiet, no casualties." He panned his gaze across the car to for the entire team.

"Think we can manage that for the rest of the ride? The Arsonist is on his own for now, but we're here and unless someone wants to go get him, I say it's time we disappear. Right, Surface?"

Safe Zone

Postby (CH3)3CLi » Mon Apr 07, 2014 5:32 am

Safe Zone took a breath after Swift reminded him that they were still on a moving train with plenty of dangers already present without him stirring up more dangers within the group itself. It'd been over a year since he had gotten so angry at someone, and he had forgotten how quick a temper he had sometimes. That, and his lack of tact, had already caused him grief before. He'd give up a lot to prevent that from happening again.

"Being angry is being alive in a place like this." That person's voice might as well have been another persona for Safe Zone. He had avoided the memories for a year, had stymied the torrent of emotions for a year, but the recent events had brought those memories flooding back, and guilt dies so very hard. He considered that voice his conscience, or, rather, a replacement for his defunct conscience. "But I guess it's pretty tiring to always be unhappy."

He closed his eyes and leaned back against the chair, keeping the rest of his comments on the tip of his tongue and his tongue firmly pressed against the roof of his mouth. Safe Zone waited a few heartbeats for the worst of the anger to pass before distracting himself with larger concerns.

"Frag. Sorry about the outburst, guys. Swift's right. Now isn't the time for this. Whenever you're ready, Surface. And someone else please take that case before we lose track of it again. Hell, I'll even hold onto it, though I don't have the physical prowess to keep it safe if someone's coming after it."

Whistling and casually stepping in between Red Queen and Safe Zone Tension confirmed he'd cloak everyone.

"Oh don't mind me I'm just preventing a brutal murder from taking place before I have opportunity to enjoy watching or taking part in it" Surface Tension said this with a grin

" Safe, this can wait until we arent amidst a crowded train, As for you Queen, Rangers don't work when they're all red.. Now I suggest we all sit relatively close to each other so I dont have to work to hard cloaking each of us."

Raiden had followed Red, only to wait outside the car. Looking up, he saw an easy access panel to the roof. He went to the group and sighed. He put his fist in the middle of the group before motioning them to follow. If they were to look at him, he would point at the roof. He had heard his allies call him the Garbage Arsonist earlier. As he spun to leave the train, not knowing about the attempt at cloaking, he said, "My name is Raiden." His voice was smooth as a summer breeze.

"Time Bomb will hold case" TB said with a stern look. He didn't believe that any of these puny humans and frail elves could keep it safe. His rough and rigid skin could stop regular knifes from cutting through and his large muscles were god for punching. He took the case from the female elf's hands. And sat back down, while the rest of his crew was busy yammering and causing a disturbance Time Bomb sat quietly enough to blend in. Of course someone with his looks would never be caught dead with a suitcase.

Meanwhile at the front of the train the conductors were discussing the trip. "Hey bob jus' wonderin' if we checked any tickets yet" One of the conductors asked the other. "Nah it looks like it's about time for that" Bob replied, he pressed the speaker button and notified the ticket masters to go around the carts and collect the tickets. There were four Ticket masters in total. 2 at the front train Cart 0 to Cart 5 and two at the back Cart 8 to Cart 6. Standard procedure states that all four meet up in the middle, Cart 5. If any of them are missing that will lead to a distress signal sent to the conductors.

Safe Zone

Postby (CH3)3CLi » Mon Apr 07, 2014 1:51 pm

Safe Zone moved as close to the window on his side of the booth as he could to make room for the others, ending up directly across from the troll who had just introduced himself as Time Bomb. He checked the length of the seats and decided it would be a bit a of a tight squeeze, but everyone could fit in one booth.

It was relieving to not be angry anymore, and Safe Zone was surprised how quickly he stopped caring about Psycho Lady after Time Bomb took the case from her. That was actually the only thing he cared about, he realized, and the near-drekstorm that had threatened the situation moments ago had been his temper flaring at how nonchalantly she had behaved with the key to their freedom not just from their prison sentences, but from this dangerous mission and their despot of an employer.

He decided to take the opportunity to examine his teammates in case invisibility worked like he suspected and made it impossible to see each other for the duration of the trip.

Well, that's what he decided, but he ended up staring at Time Bomb for the most part, amused by the sight of a grumpy, casually-dressed troll holding such a sleek, business-like suitcase. He diverted his gaze to the quiet, little elf girl who had called herself Spiderling earlier, fixating on her goggles and the prominent scar that ran across her slender neck--a visual reminder of a lifestyle he had no doubt they were all familiar with. They were a team of people broken by the world in one way or another. He wondered if this mission was a blessing or a curse--Surface had mentioned that he would still be on the run whether or not they succeeded, and he, himself, didn't even have a place to go or a goal to achieve past the completion of this job.

He left that train of thought hanging, preferring the present concerns so he could hide from the bleak future.

Safe Zone was one to appreciate effective teammates like Spiderling, though she seemed the type to avoid talking. She hadn't said a word since hacking the Matrix and starting the train, and though he was loathe to interfere with someone else's introspection time, he did want to know what else she could do.

"I don't suppose you have a spell for muting sounds as well, Surface? I don't know the first thing about magic to generate or suppress sound waves."

Glaring at the troll, Red frowned and sighed. "Well, I don't know about the rest of y'all but I'm going to have some fun. With that said, she walked past Raiden, through the door they had entered and up at the hatch. Quickly and quietly, she made her way to the roof and laid down. The others could rely on the weakness but she wouldn't.

"Obviously so Safe, you did HEAR the fake gun shots didn't you? If I can generate it , it only makes sense that I can mute it as well. Now everyone hold still , even if i can make us virtually undetectable, its not as easy concentrating on more than just myself and movement makes it more difficult"

Surface rolled up his sleeves, his arms glowed and he slowly placed the cloaking spell over everyone in the booth. "After this we wont be able to hear or see each other until I remove the spell or its disrupted, so be prepped for thaAAAaa---" his voice picked up for a moment then died quickly, the group was now cloaked.

Safe Zone settled back into his portion of the chair once the spell took effect. Something about Surface Tension's free-wheeling usage of magic worried him. So far, the magician had shown none of the typical signs of draining--general exhaustion, inability to maintain and cast spells, etc.--but cloaking and muting a group of five? He wasn't well-versed in the technical details of sorcery, but even he could tell this would be taxing, no matter how much Surface seemed to enjoy the challenge.

If he recalled the seating positions correctly, Surface Tension should be somewhere to his right, since Time Bomb, Spiderling, and Swift Strike were seated across from him. He couldn't see where his hands were in relation to anything, so he felt around until he touched the table in front of them. Using that as a fixed point, he slid his right hand to the right, standing up and moving himself slowly along with it, keeping his palms on the table to assure himself of where his hands were. For a moment, he thought his memory had been off, until his right arm collided with a shoulder tingling with that visceral, magical current only magicians were privy to.

Surface Tension. Found him.

Hopefully, the elf wouldn't find it unsettling that Safe Zone now had a grip on his forearm. To reassure the slightly crazy elf that this wasn't some disturbing frisking happening while they were all invisible and muted, he sent a small surge of healing magic into his arm, hoping he'd understand that there'd be support in case the spell weakened at a bad time. Safe Zone hoped the ticket masters would pass by quickly, but he was prepared to pump Surface Tension with a restorative burst if necessary. He doubted he'd be able to add very much time, but he could alleviate some of the physical-side exhaustion of the drain. That would have to be enough if the time called for it.

Now where were those fragging ticket masters?

The blue orbs of Spiderlings eyes flashed and changed in to exclamation marks at the mention of her codename. A couple of her teammates were looking her way. It made her blush and turn away to look out the window. She was used to being alone. In a dark room, somewhere she could search the matrix without interruptions. She was always searching for ways around a firewall, password encryptions. Anything to give her an edge as a hacker.

As the invisibility spell took affect, Spiderling turned her attention once more to the matrix. She cast reached out into cyberspace, looking for alternate routes out of New York, police movements and anything else that might keep her alive on this crazy suicide mission.

Raiden watched the others with a sigh. Looking both ways, he saw the ticketmaster headed towards them. Although he was still in the second car. It gave them time but it was risky. He looked around to see if he could see the suitcase... He couldn't. With a sigh and a lazy wave, he left to join Red Queen on the roof. She was laying down. He stood. If a tunnel came, he would lay flat until it passed. He kept an eye on the crack, watching for the ticketmaster to pass by. Looking at the Red Queen, he frowned before turning his eyes back to the crack upon seeing movement. Just someone using the bathroom. Perhaps another stowaway? He shrugged. He didn't know or care. He continued watching for the ticketmaster.

"These ticket masters...." Safe Zone wondered if there was a way to determine the locations of the ticket masters without needing to suddenly climb over Surface Tension to look down the hallway into the other cars and risk annoying the volatile magician. He really didn't want to try healing through a giant fireball or something.

A thought crossed his mind, and he was damn sure he was about to seriously creep his teammates out.

Keeping his right hand on Surface Tension's forearm, he reached across the table with his left hand, feeling for a particular arm.

He touched hard, rough skin and large muscles. Nope, wrong one. Hopefully the troll won't try to kill him.

Fumbling more to the right, he prodded at a toned arm that was definitely too thick to be a girl. At least this one didn't feel like slightly-soft rock. Still, wrong one.

Finally, his fingers prodded a soft arm and upon grabbing it, he realized he had found Spiderling's wrist. At least, he hoped it was Spiderling's wrist. Swift's arms weren't soft and slender, right? Elves. Frag it.

Before something dumb could happen, he tapped his finger twice on her wrist, indicating something to communicate. Tracing the letters out slowly on the back of her hand, he hoped she would get the message.

TRAIN CAMERAS FIND TICKETS. WHERE NOW? WIPE CAMERAS AFTER.

He bumped her arm gently with his own to indicate where she should write a response.

it had been 3 minutes since the Conductor demanded the tickets. The first two ticket masters were on the last booth of Cart #2 while the other two ticket masters had just finished cart #7. Each Cart has 5 booths. The 7 of them were on booth #5. Finally the ticket masters had finished the second cart and moved on to the third. One of the ticket masters checked the trains ledger, he made a sigh of relief. There was only 2 booths that he had to check today. At least those were the two rented by passengers. They opened booth #1 and were greeted by 3 handsome elves. Their clothes indicated that they were of high wealth. The scoffed and gave the ticket masters their tickets. Next they moved on to booth#2, which not being rented was open and didn't need further inspection

They then knocked on the door of booth #3 and inside were a man and his family. A wife, 3 kids all painfully bored out of their minds. They retrieved the tickets and told them to have a safe trip. They pasted by booth #4, which being unrented was also unopen. While heading for the door to Cart #4 the door to Booth#5 caught their eye. "Hey Russ, I thought only two booths were rented t'day."One of the Ticket Masters, Marty asked his partner Russ. "Ahh, yea' da'ss correct but this door is locked" He knocked on the door "Hello? Is anybody there?...Hellooo?" He knocked harder, still no answer. He seems befuffled

"We should radio dis in" Marty suggested, Russ nodded in agreement and turned on his radio "Hey one'a yous needs tah get here and open a booth door. It's locked" Russ radioed in to one of the guards at the end of Cart #4.
