Zach Taylor - Running Late
Zach had made it to the pub in a short while, the locals still buzzing about what had happened. Speculation was everywhere and Zach, while staying quiet, also pondered many of the thoughts the locals had. However, it wasn't long until a few of them turned their attention back to Zach wanting to hear more of his tales until the feast was ready. He happily obliged and managed to kill a great deal of time rehashing some of his favorite tales, including finishing the story from earlier.
After a good while had passed though, he turned his attention back to the barkeep, ready to move on as normal. He sat down at the bar and waited for him to head over. "What will you have?" the barkeeper asked. "I feel like some information." Zach said as he slid a few coins across the bar to him. "What have you got?" "Sorry pal, you're going to need more than that." the barkeep replied as Zach looked back up at him a bit surprised. It was more than he normally had to pay, what was going on? "Excuse me?" he asked him. "Demand's up. That guy over there..." the barkeep said pointing at a man just heading out "Just got the same thing. So if you want to double it, I may have heard something or I might not." Zach grabbed his coins and put them back in his pocket. "Nah, too rich for my blood, I'll go check somewhere else." He replied as he left, headed straight after the man and out into the street, mumbling to himself "No one steals my jobs."
Zach pulled his bow out and began to follow the man, but to his surprise, he began to remove layers of his clothes. "Well this is unexpected." he whispered and ducked behind a nearby building, readying an arrow on his bow as he watched the man continue to remove cloths until it became clear who he was. 'Cavier? What's he doing here? Who's he after?'
Zach thought as he pulled the arrow back and took aim at the officer. 'Is he after me? Why didn't he go after me at the pub then?'
Zach was just about to let the arrow fly when he heard a shout that seemed to carry all throughout the town.
PandaBrady wrote:"Everyone! Come in! My doors are open to you all!"
Zach pulled his bow down and quickly put it back as the townsfolk started to pour out of their homes and businesses and head towards the mansion. "Another time perhaps." He said as he began to shuffle in with the crowd and head towards the mayor's mansion. 'Might as well have some fun at the party.'
he thought as he quickly approached the mansion. It seemed as though everyone was heading towards the balcony for the feast, but there was almost no guards to direct them or stop them from going anywhere else. 'Well, maybe I'll go explore beforehand. Might find something interesting.'
he thought as he headed off in a different direction from the mob in the mansion. 'Let's see what the mayor keeps in his private house.'
he thought as he headed down a hallway.
