If you've had some bad rolls and have received lasting injuries, you can try to heal them. This works much like a challenge, except you post "Healing:" in spoiler tags and the wounds you want to get rid of. You post Risks (for instance infection, blood loss or other things that'll make it worse, or it could that you're making noise and thus drawing attention to yourself, you pass out or other such) and roll against a target number. The target number is then 10 + the sum of the value of the original Risks that you took to get the injury - 1 if you're getting help. For instance, if you want to heal a lost limb, a +3, the target would be 13. If your doctor friend Francis is helping out, it's 12. Roll above the target number and you're healed and the penalties disappear. Roll exactly the same as it and you're not healed, but you're not worse for the wear either. . Below, and your new risks take effect, as per usual. Notably, the odds are such that if you risk more the value of what you're trying to heal, you have a better than 50% chance, but it's hardly a sure thing. Healing is, well, risky. If you fail to heal your wounds, you cannot try again until you're situation has significantly changed, say, a lot of time has passed, you've gotten a new, healing power, or someone new & capable is helping you this time, determined at my discretion. This might be never, don't expect a second chance. Also, you need to be in a position where you have time and calm to do the healing, it can't be done in the middle of an battle or while running from an enemy. Lastly, you can only heal a wound if it makes sense that you could. You can't heal a blown off arm unless you or someone else has a power that would actually make that possible.
