I also realize that I may need to change Naomi's sleeping pattern. I'm keeping the thing where she stays up for a couple of days in a row, but limit her sleeping to one regular night. The idea of her sleeping for 24 hours works well character wise, but seeing as how slow days progress in RP's, it would be a serious handicap RP wise.

Demons:
Is there a hierarchy among demons? Because the demon that Matthonius and Orion are fighting doesn't seem to be the brightest bulb in the box, not saying it's stupid, but it doesn't seem to possess much intelligence. Whereas the demon I used in Naomi's history was smart enough to strike up conversation. And can any demon create a Tainted One, and wouldn't the powers a Tainted One get differ per demon?

If I may be so bold as to give my two cents into this, would it be a good idea to only make the smarter demons capable of creating Tainted Ones? The ones that can think beyond instincts alone. Make them officers, or something like that, that keep the less intelligent types in check. They lack brawn, but their psychic abilities (the ones the Tainted Ones get) are used to keep the lower ones under control.

- Arch demons
- Gods?


Technology:
To get back on weapons, those rifles, are they like muskets where you have to load every bullet separately with gunpowder. Or do they use bullets with gunpowder inside a casing, like nowadays. Because if its the first thing, that would make Naomi's weapon a technological wonder.

And plumbing, does it exist? Baths, showers even toilets, do they exist? Or do we all crap in a hole and wash ourselves with buckets? :D

Demons varry as you said, some are incredibly smart and know better than to approach the temple but there are many who see the temple city as a prime area to attack and infect.

99% of the tainted ones simply keep the dark powers that comprise a demon but a rare 1% receive special traits or skills from overcoming very powerful or rare demon possession.
All demons speak and understand the human languages but most choose not to speak and instead savor the kill or the fear.

There has always been a hierarchy for the demonic races, it's just never mentioned outright because of how many species there are so it comes to a rule of thumb.
Aggressive and short-witted are about 65% of demonkind.
Strong and intelligent comprise about 15% of demonkind.
Weak but incredibly intelligent are about 15% of the higher demonkind.
Gifted in Combat, deception, intelligence and raw combat are the highest form of a demonic breed, often carrying a name other than type. Only a mere 5% of demons fit this bill, that's 5% out of trillions of demons mind you. Hard to come by but extremely dangerous. Thankfully these demons cannot entering our world without the Shrouded Templars realizing it, this is because the shrouded templar become so powerful by absorbing a named demons power.


The rifles you all have are, yes, the muskets. But with a little ingenuity you could make a drastic leap in weaponry... and then further it with dark and sinister magic.
Showers and toilets exist, though it is rather primitive. I won't get into detail but yes; Showers, toilets and baths exist.
