Always hated when rough enemies would randomly attack my healer when they wouldn't(nor couldn't XD) hurt any of them... But I can see why they'd be a source of hate and pure RAGE.

... I'll be nice about it this once and give a warning to everyone in general so as not to point blame: Auto-hits, unless previously given permission by whoever you're hitting AND either Hana or myself, are a no-no.

I expect this to be followed closely from here on, but whether it is or not, I won't give further warnings. I'll just run over the characters IC with raw force if it happens again. And it'll be safe to guarantee they'd be basically useless in a fight (for the heroes) until the battle's done. At the least.

Auto-hit without prior consent or good reasoning (opponent is has been stated as suffering from an impairing status that will allow auto-hits, such as Downed, etc) counts as godmoding. Also, in this kind of game, lots of enemies are going to have strengths, and sometimes certain things will never, ever, ever hit because of innate Nulls or Repels. Safe is better than going back to edit!

If anyone is concerned about fairness in the fights, PM me. Ro and I have had lengthy discussions on difficulty and fairness, so I'm fairly confident in his ability to keep things at the level we've agreed on, but if you are concerned, then I definitely want to address those concerns before it becomes an actual issue.

I don't like these vague accusation sorts of posts. If someone made a mistake, PM them and ask them to reword something, but I don't think it's necessary to give a lecture on auto hits. I highly doubt anyone involved actually thinks it's okay to do that.

Lol, my bad. Because Life Drain is Almighty, it can't be avoided, nor mitigated with defensive spells. Remembering the rules about autohitting, I probably shouldn't have made a character intended to learn all the Almighty spells earliest. XD

She is confident she can fight alone because of this attrition-based persona. In addition to that it will hopefully have status-clearing and status effect spells. Hibiki herself is physically capable, so she adds additional offense just by being strong and having a good weapon. It's why she's fine with just taking a hit for someone, since she will heal it back eventually. Were it SMT, she would probably learn Meditation, and be able to stay in a battle indefinitely so long as she isn't instakilled.

This is one of the things that I meant by "good reason." There are going to be some things that are going to automatically hit, but they're always going to have a mechanical reason behind them or be specifically cleared by the player/GM of the opponent.

Am I making sense? I didn't get a lot of sleep last night, so what's making sense to my sleep-deprived brain might not actually make sense to sane people. If that's the case, just let me know and I will try to write something less nonsensical once I've rested a bit more.

I'm not sure I see how it's fair that he gets this sort of advantage. Not only is a life drain skill incredibly powerful, but auto hit as well?

It's fair because he has no elemental attacks and is weak to Wind.

Plus, Life Drain does, like, 30HP max. About the only thing it's got going for it is that it is Almighty.
