Well I apparently just broke my desktop while applying new thermal compound to the processor so I'm in a right pissed off mood at the moment. Need to start looking for a new desktop. Had considered building one up until now. It's blatantly obvious I'm to incompetent to do basic freaking maintenance on a computer much less build one. Thank God I'm getting my degree in software not hardware.

How the hell do you fail in making your own computer in this day and age? It's all plug & play! It's like working with very expensive Lego.

I'm not sure. I'm guessing that when I was replacing the processor one of the gold ports was bent or damaged somehow which thus caused the entire thing to quit working. Either way this little mishap has completely put me off the idea of building my own PC. In fact I find the idea terrifying now.

I set mine on fire the first time i built one... ahh the memories

I'm so glad Spring Break is over. I love my daughter, but it is nearly impossible to keep the house clean with her home all day for an entire week!

Actually, Liv, according to drinkify.org since you're such a horrendous fan of Lady Gaga (something I'll never understand) you should be drinking straight vodka. Then again the same website says I should be drinking vodka with carrot sticks for 311 so what the hell do they know.

Third...I am sorry for no posties yet. I went to get my first-EVER vision screening and ended up having to get my eyes dilated, and I was not aware that the effect would last for FIVE HOURS, rendering me unable to read without triggering migraines. (Turns out that my recent headaches are because of an astigmatism that I have developed, and the cute new glasses that cost me an arm and a leg should totally take care of the problem, yay!)

Wasn't it your birthday recently as well Hana? At least according to the "Welcome to the Weirdness" thread it was. In which case, happy birthday.

Also, one of my coworkers had his eyes dilated recently......his disc golf ability improved dramatically.

Hm? You make it sounds like dilating your eyes has some lingering effects once the drops wear off.

I had mine done a week and a half ago. It was a bit awful to read without my glasses on, but with them, mostly fine. Of course, I also had prescription sunglasses to deal with the bright light.

I'll see if I can post something today or tomorrow.

So I finally managed to setup my own minecraft server on my laptop. It's a real POS though so I'll probably set another one up once my desktop comes in. Anyone want to join?
